Thread: rest or sleep...?

    I have gotten back into training after a few years off. I was wondering if my growth hormone release would be impaired by my lack of sleep? I get about 7 hours a night, but I have an office job where I do a lot of sitting. Is it possible for me to gain mass on 7 hours of sleep a night during the week and 8 hours of sleep on the weekends? Or is it imperative that I get 8+ hours of sleep?

    It's certainly possible to gain mass on that much sleep. But still, more sleep is better. I shoot for 8 a night on weeknights (don't usually get it) and at least 10 on weekends. If you can get to where you sleep at least 10 a night, look out Ronnie, here comes some mass!

    Thanks for the suggestion. I have seen some mass gain lately, but I can tell that I need more sleep. I have a one year old son, so he is still trying to train me to his schedule. ha ha.
