    You still can I think, what was your best 6 rep max on the day we started? Just be honest and I'm sure it's ok for you to enter.
    BTW I haven't made any improvements yet, haven't tried to break any of my 6 rep maxes. Someone else needs to be in for squats though, I don't want to win by defualt!

    Geoffgarcia - go ahead and get in now. You will be at a disadvantage by a week and that was the point of setting a starting point. Just let us know now what your best 6 rep bench/deadlift/squat is.

    And Dedicated - I just started squatting last week, and so I think it would be unfair to jump in when I have the potential to make much larger gains b/c I've been working on form. To make it fair, I'll go ahead and list my 6 rep squat @ 185 as I did it 2 times yesterday and I think that will more than compensate.

    I would love to but I'm finishing up my last week of HST right now then am taking a week of rest THEN I'll be back at lifting...

    if I had an idea of what my 6rep max would be I'd try to "catch up" but I really have no idea....

    my hammer strength bench 5 rep weight is 420
    my hammer strength OH Press 5 rep weight is 280

    can we just say my 6 rep maxes are 410/272?

    I'd like to shoot for improvements in both!
    (PS, I've been working out steadily for about 7 months now...so I'm not gonna see any noobie gains)

    sounds good to me - it'd be great if you could post here any gains (b/c i see you update your journal once a month) on those when you make them so your gains don't seem to come out of nowhere at the end.

    I might add my dead in late, gonna dead in a few days, but last time I did deadlift it was 235 x 4, so maybe 225 x 6? I'll post it here as soon as I try.

    Im on a bulk and my lifts should go up (i hope)

    Ill just do my bench for now which is my weaker of the 3 lifts as youll see..

    im currently 6x80lbs (dont laugh )

    Maybe but its only improved 20lbs since i started to lift, my size has increased more than my strength (which at the moment im happier with) I hope ill go up very quick, why not include ppl like me in a different class if its not fair?

    Move this thread to the training forum so more ppl see, i only browsed this thread on an off chance. I feel it would encourage me more to train better.

    If you want Alex, it might make sense to put your bench in with my squat (which I will reevaluate to 155x6 as I put my squat much higher to level it with lifters who weren't so new) on a newbie level. Obviously the gains are the real goal here, but I think it makes sense to seperate the newbie lifts (your bench, my squat, and anyone else who is new to a certain lift).

    Its not that im new to the lift, its just my weakest.
    I have crap shoulders and tri's which lets me down, my bulk is fixing it but steadily.

    If i start to gain too well i wont ruin your comp, but as they say 'its the taking part that counts'

    185 X 5 today on bench. When and if I get 6 I will post IMMEDIATELY rofl. I almost tried for 6 but no spotter. My knee is hurt so I haven't been squatting or deadlifting. I think it will be better before the contest ends so don't count me out just yet. At least there is always bench

    I'm taking the week off *LOL*

    just finished HST
    did sets of 5, but just so you know where I'm at
    Hammer Strength bench
    2 sets @ 430, probaby coulda squeezed out 437

    Hammer Strength OH press
    2 sets @ 290

    from here out I'm gonna be doing sets of 10s up till the final weeks where I'll do 2-3 workouts for the 6rep max

    anyone have any goals? predictions?

    I think I need to drop the bench as the HS machine doesn't hold more than what I did (430= 4x45, 1x25, 1x10 per side)
    so I guess I'm just gonna have to bust a nut and go for 5 plates (450) and take it or leave it

    And yea that was for bench, forgot to mention what lift, I was blinded by the PUMP.
