    underarm irritation..

    ive got this spot under my armpit, its about 1-2cm, its a small red bump, and its irritating as hell.. i got it after chest/shoulder day..
    has this got anything to do with lifting? has anybody had it b4? if so, how long does it take to go away?

    {don't know how I did that}

    It's probably an inflamed sweat gland and will go away with time.

    Do you shave your armpits? It could also be just a raw spot if your shirt was irritating or something.

    If its on the skin and not a lymph node, I've got something similar and I've had it for a while now, it gets irritating then goes away but not completely. Its like a deep pimple. Doc told me to put this antibiotic cream on it, if it don't go away then to get surgery to remove the infected skin, I ain't going for no surgery, alas it is still there, but it doesn't bother me no more. My trip to the beach helped though.

    Sounds like a very mild case of hidradenitis.

    Avoiding antiperspirants and deodorants in the area is usually a good idea.

    usually underarm hair and pits can get irritated by suddenly switching deodorants or using too much. just try maybe laying off for a few days.
