i have no idea what this is ,comes from under my right lat or in that area, i know it is not my form , whether light or heavy itll pop up and it frikin kills ,, it doesnt feel like any pain i have ever experienced in lifting ,, mainly shows up when doing lat pulldowns but will also creep up in other back related exercises,,, it feels like 1 single nerve or something but for some reason it causes tremendous pain that ill have to stop a whole set in the middle,,, i really cant explain it better then that
Make sure you're stretching good before your workout.
Are you using a wide grip or narrow grip? Try changing your grip maybe and see if that helps.
Or better yet, ditch the pull-downs and do pull-ups instead.

always stretch and 10 min cardio before lifting,,,,
you know what though i think im gonna ditch the downs and go with the ups,,, would be much more effective and no pain
but i would still be interseted in knowing what that pain is
