The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    US presidency elections 2004

I hear Bush has already increased his corporate sponsorship for the campaign, looks like instead of stealing it hes looking to properly buy it this time, like a good citizen.

What date will the elections be, and Americans, who will you vote for? is there anyone on the ballot, who you trust with the fate of your country and how it effects the world?

I'm voting for bush . If you want I will post why , but you being pretty liberal in your views I doubt you'd understand .

He does whats best for the US 1st off , he isnt acting like he,s in a popularity contest like Clinton .

He ,Tony Blair and very few others had the balls to move foreward with Iraq , everyone else signs resolutions but when it came time to act they bailed . Those others are talkers .

Our economy was slowing down while Clinton was in office so not only did Bush get that he also got the Sept 11 thing that Clinton gave him too . (yes clinton had his chance at OBL at least 3 times and said no even after he knewOBL had something to with previous attemts... that is not a leader )

Bush enacted tax cuts that most people are too stupid to understand and guess what ? They are working every economist will tell you that .

He is the best suited for the job that we can pick from and please no morons say anyone of those democratic candidates ok , they are a bunch of cretins .

Things I dont like about Bush , campaign finance reform, increased spending on prescription drugs ,education bill he signed doesnt mean squat .
Give me your broken , give me your beaten ... I will build them up , I will lead them ... to the threshhold . Make you stronger , make you believe .

I've never voted in my life, but I'm going to register to vote just so I can vote for Bush, and thereby properly respond to the rest of the world about their whining:

I've noticed that other countries like us when we are weak , like when clinton and his cronies were running the show . We got walked all over all the time . Now that we are strong and dont take no smack we aren't liked as much .

Oh well ... we would own anyone if need be .

I just got another bit more cynical

I dont feel like arguing this right now, im outnumber ed and any facts id bring up would seem ludicrous and silly to you for they are so far away from your view.

Haha wesley clark ... the guy who supported going into Iraq and praised Bush but now he opposes it ?

The same guy that when we went into Iraq was telling the whole world how we were going about it all wrong yet The US and UK rolled in there in record time with minimal casualties to our soldiers and civilians ?

Read up on the people you support dude , clark is a dolt .

I'd rather vote for a real military hero than a chickenhawk who skipped military service or went AWOL, like much of the current administration.

Honor and bravery mean something important to me. Unfortunately, the folks in charge now are all too eager to send young Americans to die when they were too cowardly to go themselves.

unfortunately mismasternash, bush didnt skip military service. he was a pilot in the texas national guard and didnt draft dodge like clinton did. hell, clinton took off to oxford instead. perhaps you should have some decent facts before you post . at any rate, i support george w. bush and the conservativeness of the current administration. and this next election...will pretty much be bush vs. dukakis part 2 if you know what i mean. no democratic candidate stands any chance in the next election? and does anyone know why? ...yeah, almost all supported going to iraq, and now challenge the administration of it. much hypocracy there. not to mention, wesley clark was a republican before he decided to run for office. the only reason he's a democrat is that he wants to be president. one more thing...the economy and the stock market is getting better because of the bush tax cuts and republican fiscal policy after the recession that started before clinton left office. think about it.

    GO BUSH

So Reinier, being elected president according to the rules of our country's founding documents is equal to stealing an election? I...I'm confused.

funny however how practically any news source other than the american mainstream networks and bbc reports casualties of brits and americans in iraq about 10 times higher.
Frankfurt is having a hard time dealing with the shipments of hurt americans these days

    "American mainstream press"

The American "mainstream" press is as liberal as you are Reiner. They are as eager as you for the U.S. to fail. I think you and many europeans suffer from New York Yankee syndrome. You hate for no other reason than we're powerful and we usually win.

No, it`s not. Supposedly, Fox is pro gov and CNN is contra.
But Fox is far pro and CNN is slightly pro, and there is no real con.
"The Nation" is supposed to be the critical, establishment critical mag over there, some people even complain it goes too far.
Its quite soft to my standards.

Yes Foxnews tells the other side of the story. I would not consider them right-leaning. You are simply used to viewing the world through the eyes of the european media. Come on Reinier why don't you just come clean and admit that you hate us because of our military might, huge economy and dominant culture. Why don't you at least listen to the other side of the argument and make up your mind instead of believing everything you are spoon fed by the socialist media.

I dont hate you. its not simple like that.
I also dont believe anything that i am just spoonfed and all these labels- left, right, socialist, capitalist, liberal, conservative all have jack squat to do with the situation anyway. Its the question whether or not Bush is sincere and defending the interests of the american people, the world people, or neither, and IMO its the latter.

Media in Holland is far from socialist and Im tired of hearing about how im brainwashed by Dutch *insert whatever label* media, Dutch news programs report just about the same stuff as CNN.
In fact Holland is going through a phase of privatisation and desocialisation and those in power want to take public opinion along in that process. Only about a month ago Balkenende decided to lower welfare by 200 euros a month. He managed to state this in the same SENTENCE as the statement that his party wants to form a shield for the weak.

Holland is not an enemy of the US establishment. Our PM Jan Peter Balkenende has his tongue so deep up dubya`s bunghole I doubt they could even still be surgically separated, not to mention his gimp sidekick Jaap de Hoop Scheffer or however you spell him, hes even worse. Balkenendes answers to questions involving US politics sound like they have been written by the bush admin, and i wouldn`t be surprised if they are.

Don't you understand that your view of Bush is influenced by the way that the information is presented and by the bias of those presenting the information. The european media is overwhelmingly anti-US. Believe me I know I lived in Germany for almost 2 years. Therefore there is a huge overreporting of the negative news that is occuring in Iraq. There are many good things happening in Iraq that are not reported by your media. When I said "you" I was referring to europeans in general not you specifically. Don't you find it interesting that europeans by and large are against the war but americans are largely for it?

yes it is interesting and it could mean 2 things couldn`t it?
now which` country do you think has the most interest in the public opinion on the matter and is THEREFOR most likely to manipulate it>?

Also notice how those who are most likely to understand the media system and the political system, say, history professors, are by large unsupportive of bush

German media is far more anti bush than dutch media. you cant compare. europe isn`t europe like that
