The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

It was a great event. Pride is definitely the best show in mixed martial arts IMO. I was glad to see Sakuraba win again. I wanted to see Quentin beat Silva so I was disappointed but I'm sure they will fight again for the belt before too long. I don't like Silva but you have to give him credit. Quentin is still pretty raw so he has room to grow which is scary. It would have also been cool to see Fedor fight Crocop. That would be a war. Both are favorite fighters. I think Fedor would win but barely. Both have awesome power, but Fedor is better on the ground. It sucked to see Crocop lose to Nogera after owning him for almost the entire match. But thems the breaks.

That would be a great fight. I know they were talking about bringing some Pride fighters pay a visit to the UFC like Liddell payed a visit to Pride. But from watching Pride last night it sounded like the guy they wanted to pay a visit was Sakuraba. I'd love to see Silva and Couture go at it though instead.

I was glad to see Crocop did so well against a fighter like nog, give him some time and he could go far in MMA.

    ditto for Rampage jackson.

Yeah Silva and Couture need to fight now. Its the only way to determine who the true #1 LHW is.

is it just me or is randleman in serious trouble i mean he is not near as aggressive as he was when he was a heavy weight i have also noticed his quickness may have helped him more in the heavy ranks

I think he'll be fine but he has had a slump lately. His quickness definitely helped him more in the heavy ranks. His strength can help him more now. But he has fought some quality competitors lately. He seems less aggressive. I don't know if that's why he's lost his last few matches or if he just got outsmarted. In the last Pride match he should have been able to get out before Sakuraba completed the arm bar. When he fought Quentin Jackson a few matches ago they were fighting pretty evenly and he just got caught. His athleticism is his strongest attribute and sometimes he doesn't apply his mind to take advantage of that (like last night). He doesn't usually get dominated or anything like that. But often times he seems to be doing just fine and then he makes a mental error that costs him the match.
