The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Gene is just a freak. I am sure this little stunt will pull Mendelson out of retirement in a hurry. I heard Scott did something like 940(I think thats right) on two board presses recently, and thats usually not something 'retired' powerlifters do, so I doubt he has retired for good. Scary that the WR Bench Press is only 30lbs away from the WR Deadlift. The way the bench press has been improving lately, a 1000lbs. bench press may not be that far off, and Gene is probably the man to do it.

I don't think straps would help too much on the deadlift. I really wonder if the grip is the limiting thing for those guys.

I'm sure irongame.com has a vid but damned if they don't have the smallest bandwidth limit ever.

It should be up on Irongame if they are up.

as for the deadlift.. the grip factor is what is the problem. If you ever see Bolton's or Frank's deadlift they pull fast, just can sustain the grip on more weight.

grip is the limiting factor for many big pullers, including Steve Goggins. Some people have different limiting factors than others, but grip is not an uncommon limiting factor, especially for people who do not have particularly long hands.
