    Finally getting back into it

Well football season is over, we lost a heart breaker in overtime 41-42

but on the bright side I get to start doing something I havent been able to do since august. LIFT SOME HEAVY WEIGHT!!!!!

yeah we lift during the season but nothing as intense as i like, if I cant o hard in the weightroom there is no point in me going, kinda the same mentality i have when i play football.

ive been thinking about my off season workout and i believe i have finally put together an insane routine to get me super powerful and solid

have figured out exact rep schemes yet but im pretty sure it will look something like this

    leg day1
    good mornings(ME)
    squats(heavy)
    sumo deads(heavy)
    SLDL(heavy)
    lunges(repetition)
    calf work

    upper body day1
    bench(ME)
    incline(heavy)
    board press(heavy)
    military press(heavy)
    dumbell shoulder press(repetition)
tricep extensions of some sort (repetition)
    curls(reps)

    legs day 2
    speed squats 12x2
    Deadlifts (ME)
    box squats( 8x3)
    power cleans
    SLDL (repetition)
    Front Squats (repetition)
    calf work

    upperbody day 2
    dynamic bench 9x3
    barbell rows (heavy)
    dumbell rows (repetition)
    pulldowns(repetition)
    dumbell bench (repetition)
    incline dumbell bench(reps)
    tricep extensions
    curls

its going to be on the lines of that when i start lifitng ill post a journal so yall can check it out.

Corey, I hear you......haven't been able to lift heavy either since August....my bench has gone down from 330 to about 220, and my weight has gone from 185 to 168

geoff a board press is a bench press done with 2x4's on your chest, really works the lock out and triceps alot.

Scott its really hard to lift intensily through out the season. we hit and have very physically demanding practices 3 times a week then we have a game. so if you actually can go the entire season with out getting banged up real bad you could try.

but even still lifting heavy and intensily then playing footbal, the body can only take so much you wil begin to wear down.

i wasnt able to benhc for about 6 weeks due to my shoulder and I dont work my legs during the season due to that we push the sled alot and the running keeps my leg ok, plus if i lifted on them that would make them dead towards the end of the season

this is why damn near impossible to lift hard during the season due to the injury factor
