is it just a matter of days or hours?

cnn says the Taliban will be asked to turn over Bin Laden or face Military action.

Bin Laden denies the attack so I doubt they will..

Tony Blair has just been on tv (British PM) saying he is ready to send UK troops over to eradicate terrorism once and for all..

Is it just a matter of days? I think so...

I'm so glad I didn't join the TA last year like I planned, a family friend is a chaplain in the TA and he's being called up to active service.

    Slightly worrying
half the time I have no idea what you're talking about. the other half, I'm not listening.

It'll be a matter of days, probably a week or so. But, Afhagnistan(sp?) is saying that they are ready for a holy war. They won't turn over Londin even if he said that he did it. They are ready to fight, but are fleeing their capital.

It's not going to be an easy war.

If we go to war I am going to cut one of them open with a box cutter. Like they do to us.

hrmmm... what makes you think that?

i think they will go to war as soon as they know what to attack.

Ben Londin has written some letters completely denying the attacks. I think he is just scared. Or does he fear anything?

i know people are saying this is the end of the world. that since the bible says the world will be destroyed by fire well i tell you this it won't be man made fire for sure. i know not everyone shares my view on religion, fine that is your choice but i too am tired of the doomsday profits. they have'nt had nothing sice y2k and nothing happend there either. i don't think they will use nukes, like tryska said there are too many neighboring countries that would get effected. we use cruise missles and sidewinders and that will take out a great deal of installations. my prediction is afgani people, civies, go in as coups and take bin ladin out and hand him over. i forsee the a civil war alongside the one with everyone else.

to those who care, they say that most of the muslims are illiterate and only know the koran by memory and are being misled by many people like the taliban and bin ladin. most of the taliban have no business teaching peole as they are ill taught and are not qualified to even be in politics. i give it some time before the u.s. does anything. we are still in the planning stages.
This is our current government keeping the peace.

I hope it happens soon. It needs stamping out. Alot of people are saying "oh .... we should talk to them first" .. I say ... bollox. These people are brainwashed at birth and need wiping out, before they wipe us out. I have no doubt in my mind that these people would not hesitate to use chemical or even nucular weapons, given half the chance. It must be stopped now .... for the saftey of mankind.

There are parts of Afghanistan that have said they would assist the US in disarming the Taliban. Parts of Pakistan as well.

Like BK said: They are good as dead.

remember it took 55 days for us to make a move on Pearl Harbor.

my feeling is, what will first happen is that if the Talibn doesn't cooperate (we'll know that later today, after Pakistan talks with them) they will be starved out first, (since their food and oil comes from Pakistan). This helps us two-fold. One by weakening the enemy, 2 by allowing us to gather intelligence from those that are our allies. After that, we will start military maneuvers. Pakistan is the wild card here, IMO. Right now they seem quite helpful, but there is quite a lot of support for the hardliners in the general population, and what worries more, the military. Well in any case, if pakistan acts up, India will be more then happy to roll on them. India has been itching to do it for years, and with US support, will be glad to jump in and resolve a couple of long-standing problems, aside from the current glaring one.

I think it'll be more along the lines of weeks or months before Bin Laden is taken into custody.
