Hey alke, how much longer do you have for your cut? I think it's not so much the hunger pains that sucks with cutting... because I'm slowly getting used to eating less. It's more the huge strength loss for me... like the work I put in for the last 4 months is going to waste.

    Back

    Saturday 7/3

    Weight: 172

-I think I'm losing weight too fast... no wonder I'm getting weak as hell. I'm definitely gonna maintain at 170 for a little while, if I remember how to maintain.

Diet: ~1750 Calories (Inflated number... I didn't really eat that much)
    12:30PM: 2 Eggs, Ham, 1 Slice WWB
    5:00PM: Rice, Pork
    8:00PM: 2 Tbspn PB
    9:00PM: Rice, Eggs, Beef, Veggies
    11:30AM: Veggie, Eggs, Beef, Shrimp

-I'm adjusting the calories to ~2000 for a few weeks to see how that works for me.
-Damn, it's so hot and humid I don't feel like eating... I never thought this would happen.

    Training:
    Hang Snatch: 45 x 3 x 2, 65 x 3 x 2, 85 x 1 x 3, 95 x 1 x 3
    BB Row: 45 x 6, 95 x 6, 135 x 6 x 4
    WG Pulldown: 120 x 6, 140 x 6 x 2
    CG Pulldown: 120 x 6, 140 x 6 x 2

    -Hang snatch... still slow.
-My back is never gonna get stronger. Maybe I should stop being so strict with the BB row form. I can't wait until I get back to school so I can have a pullup bar to use. I miss the power rack too... I pretty much lived in the power rack last semester.

    RE Squat <1/2>

    Sunday 7/4

    Weight: 171

-All time low... I need to eat more. I looked in the mirror and the gut is definitely smaller. But I seem so tiny now.

    Diet: ~1900 Calories
    12:00PM: Yogurt
    1:30PM: Hotdog, Bun
    4:00PM: Rice, Noodles, Meat
    7:30PM: 2 Tbsp PB
    9:00PM: Chicken, Rice, Veggies
    11:00PM: Cereal
    1:00AM: 2 Tbsp PB

    Training:
    Squat: 45 x 6, 95 x 6, 135 x 3, 155 x 3, 185 x 3, 205 x 1, 225 x 5 x 3
    GM: 45 x 6, 95 x 6, 115 x 6, 135 x 6, 140 x 6 x 2

-Regular parallel squats... haven't done these in a while. These were an utter disappointment. I was off my expectations by a long shot. 225 was just heavy as all hell.

Yummy.... I can't wait until I bulk in the winter. It's gonna be sweet. Hopefully I'll be able to hit a solid 180. Keyword being SOLID. Unlike my flabby ass 180 a couple months ago.

    DE Bench

    Tuesday 7/6

    Diet: ~1900 Calories
    8:30AM: Cereal
    12:30PM: Rice, Beef, Veggies
    5:30PM: Same
    8:00PM: Same, Fish
    11:00PM: 2 Tbsp PB

-1800-1900 feels pretty good. I'm gonna stick with this for a while.

    Training:
    Bench: 45 x 6, 95 x 6, 115 x 3 x 3, 125 x 3 x 3, 135 x 3 x 3, 155 x 1, 185 x 1, 205 x 1, 225 x 1 x 3
    6" Board Press: 155 x 3, 165 x 3, 185 x 3, 205 x 3, 215 x 5 x 3
    Front Raises: 45 x 6 x 2, 50 x 6 x 2

-Speed wasn't bad today... amazing what a little food does. 205 was ugly... bad setup, bad everything... had to muscle it up.
-6" Board Presses were refreshing... the CGBP was hurting my ribcage for some reason. 155 and 165 were a waste of time... I don't know what I was thinking.

Three more weeks of Westside and I'm gonna take a break. I'm probably gonna try out 3x3 for a while.

congrats on the 32s, I remember back in the day you had to go buy 36s, hahaahh

205 should of been easy for you if u had 5 reps for it before. Maybe alittle more warmup, like 185x6 before you start the heavy singles.

    Bench

    Sunday 7/11

    Weight: Dont feel like checking...

    Diet:
It's ok... guessing around ~1700 calories today

    Training:
    Bench: 45 x 6, 95 x 6, 135 x 3, 155 x 3, 195 x 5 x 5
    Standing MP: 45 x 6, 65 x 6, 105 x 5 x 5
    Dips: BW x 6 x 2

-Haha... 195 was a struggle... shouldn't have drank so much last night. This was supposed to be light too. 200 better not be this ugly next week. I think I need to warm up more, because the last set was the easiest of them all haha.
-Starting light on MP. I hope to be hitting 135 for MP soon. My shoulders are so weak.
-My left arm pinches a little bit. But all in all... I like these.

Ok... time to get back into it with 5x5. I took a little break, since I felt really burnt out.

    My 5x5 Routine
    ----------------------
    M: Box Squat 5x5, GM 8x3
    W: Bench 5x5, Dips 8x3
    F: DL 3x8, Pullups 5x5
    Sun: MP 5x5, Abs 12x3

    Simple.

Cutting excuse #99 I won't be able to gain strength or muscle. Besides I'm not young and on the prowl like you guys so I don't have as much incentive. Maybe Jan. I think if get to 210 I would be happy 230 now. It comes off fast I think. sorry so long

Bill: Hahah, I kind of understand where you are coming from. It is nice to do it for yourself too. Wouldn't you be happier looking in the mirror and seeing a nice six pack? You'll probably feel more energetic having shed 20 pounds. I'll give it to you... it's kind of depressing losing all that strength and eating so little, but I know in the end I'm gonna be pretty damn happy when my stomach is flat and I'm rockin 32's without any discomfort.

Stash: I think my girlfriend will benefit the most from this. I'm going to be cooking a chef gone berserk when I'm on my bulk. I have so many recipes lined up.

    Monday 7/12

    Weight: 171

-Been hovering at 171 for a while... I'll keep it like this for a while, then decrease the calories a little bit.

    Diet: ~1700 Calories
1:00PM: 2 Egg Turkey Omelette, 1/2 Slice WWB
    3:00PM: Dumplings
6:30PM: Sardines, 1 Slice WWB, 1 Tbsp PB
    8:30PM: Pasta, Meat Sauce, Eggplant
    11:00PM: 2 Oz Tuna

    Training:
    12" Box Squat: 45 x 6, 95 x 6, 135 x 6, 155 x 3, 185 x 1, 205 x 5 x 5
    GM: 45 x 6, 95 x 6, 115 x 6, 135 x 8 x 3

-The squats are such a killler. I'm sweating and breathing so hard after the 4th rep. So out of shape. Also, my form is blowing goats... I shift the weight forward to gain momentum by GM'ing it up. I'm gonna work on going straight up.

I'm not going to move up in weight on bench or deadlift next week since I feel that I was a little overzealous and started too heavy. Actually, I think I might drop bench and squat down to 185. 5x5 calls for you to start off ridiculously light and my ego and I ****ed it up.

whats up guys, thanks for stopping by and keeping me motivated.

Bill: So far I've lost about eight pounds in a month and a half.

Alke: Haha liquid sugar. You are pure evil man, tempting me with the pizza and and ice cream. Damn... I can taste that cheese and tomato sauce already. I hear you about losing motivation... that's what happened with my week off. I just didn't feel like doing anything. But I'm back and more determined. I'm gonna start eating like a human once I hit 165.
