It's fun and very good for overall development; not just for muscle size, but also speed, agility and flexibility. But a knowledgable coach is necessary.

I used to be an olympic lifter. Its a great sport and one of the best sports y ou can ever do.
It takes awhile before you can perfect technique but once you do max weight will be flying everywhere.
