    Calories Burned Running

How do you determine the amount of calories you burn when running?

Also, if you walked for 20 minutes and then began running, would you be burning specifically fat the entire time you are running, as opposed to just calories?

Depends on your weight and length of time

Make sure your heart rate goes up during your warmup. you will be burning fat as long as its not too intense or too long of duration. Calories are calories. You want to burn calories from fat versus calories from muscles.

Well, say you're 200 lbs and running for one hour, covering 6 miles (10 minutes a mile), with this being a decent amount below your VO2 Max.
