    Drew Bledsoe

Any of you hear about Drew? He is out for at least 6 weeks and maybe the rest of the season. He had internal bleeding caused from a tackle over the weekend. He was in the hospital with a tube hooked into his chest taking out blood. I think they said he lost like 2 pints of blood. Patriots are done for the season.

I'm a Pats fan being from Mass. I thought they could have had an 8 and 8 season, maybe 9 and 7 had everyone stayed healthy and there weren't any problems with Terry Glen.

I think the team really just went downhill when Parcells left. He was an excellent coach. I loved watching him bitch at reporters in the post-game conferences.

You'd have to be one helluva fan to believe they could get close to 8 and 8. tuttut

They'll be fighting it out with buffalo for the basement honours in the afc east this year.

Um, actually they DID have a good season ahead of them and were looking quite good. I know this only because my roommate was an intern athletic trainer with them the past two summers. He is a football player himself, (DE, 6'2", 245 lbs) and told me they were all looking good this year. INCLUDING Drew Bledsoe....but.... **** happens...what're ya gonna do eh?

No actually they never did have a season...Glenn got suspended for a year, yes? That dude is awesome. You wanna see a team that will surprise a whole bunch a people this year? The San Diego Chargers...Flutie...Dwight...Tomlinson...Seau...Harrison..etc. outnumber

My time at the gym--at least when I'm lifting--is invariably the high-point of my day. There aren't any questions; I almost don't even think. I go into an almost meditative trance-like state. Day-to-day worries become insignificant. I'm focused solely on the weight, and my reason for existence is clear. To move the bar and to improve on what I accomplished last time. "Most people cannot understand what burns in our blood, the gym is our addiction and iron is our drug. People don't understand why we commit hours a day to a goal where progress is so small it seems immeasurable, why we do cardio instead of watch TV, why eat 6 meals a day, why we insist on ordering diet soda or how we can drink skim milk. Most people will simply never grasp why we refuse to settle for a mediocre body." - Severed Ties

Teams always look good in practice...it's what happens on the field that counts.

Yeah, Drew just got out of the hospital Tuesday I think. He lost like 2 pints of blood! I heard the earliest but most unlikely date for him to comeback is 6 weeks.

Oh well, Bruins hockey starts soon. Go B's! If they can keep Byron Dafoe healthy they should do OK.

I think he should consider retirement or something. Sounds like a pretty deadly injury.

"I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!"
