    Basics

    I've been away from the gym for a couple months.
    I'm starting back but my time is limited. I'm in the navy and hold a supervisor position and I work 12 on 12 off and will be going back to sea soon so and the gyms are not the greatest as far as availability. I'm thinking of 2 "back to basics" routine as follows

    workout 1 full body twice week or once every 5-6 days
    Squats 1x20/1x as many as possible
    Deads 1 warm up/2x work sets
    Db Bench 2x
    Dips or flys 2x
    Chins 2x
    Rows2x

    Workout 2 three days a week
    Day1
    Squats (same as above)
    Deads (same as above)

    Day2
    Db Bench 2x
    Dips or flys 2x
    Chins 2x
    Rows2x

    Day3
    Military Press 2x
    Barbell Curls 2x
    A tricep ex. 2x

    I have yet another one a twice a week

    1 squats,deads,mil press
    2 bench,dips,chin,rows

    What do you think?

    Everyone has different styles, trainings, and needs. I guess your type isn't mine, so I can't give any feedback. I don't know the recovery rate of your muscles, but it seems you have some variety, which I think is good. The way I would figure is by trying your plan out for a week or two, see how it turns out, which muscles become fatigued more the next day, and switch some exersizes around according.

    They will all work. For a basic routine I think you've pretty much got it.

    Yea kensterz your right. Im not sure what sure what your "type" is. My style of training and training needs are as follows
    Go to the gym (either my own at home or on base/ship) and bust balls for 30-40 mins.
    no BS'en around with the girls/guys whatever. I like to get in hit it hard and get on with life. I dont mess around with the latest fad of exersices or stand around doing tricep kickbacks looking at myself in the mirror.
    I know my weight totals might not be great but here they are
    I'm 29/175lbs.
    Squats max 245x20
    deads max 345x2
    Bench max (DB's) 90's x 7
