The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Kevin- Thanks man. I agree.

Cp- Thanks man. Except for my back being tight, it wasn't bad.

    Coke- Thanks man.

Eric- Thanks. I like em. It's taking a bit of getting used to, but overall I like em.

Got a speed day planned for today. May throw in some heavy dips, but haven't decided yet. Should be a good day in the gym.

    *Not perfect form.

Overall a great session. The speed bench was nice and fast. I'm finding that coming to my upper abs gives me the best feel strength wise. The lat pulldowns were nice and heavy. The dips didn't go exactly like I wanted. It's been quite awhile since I've done heavy weighted, but I didn't put up the numbers I wanted. Granted my triceps felt very fatigued, but oh well, no excuses.

    BJJ:

Class went pretty good. Went over some basic stuff with the new kids while the rest of the class went over some different stuff. Rolled with one of the stronger (physically) guys from the classes. He's a ****in hoss, but lacks a bit of technique, as he just trys to muscle everything. I just let him rolled me around for awhile and then swept and mounted him. Sat up top for awhile looking for a keylock and let him burn himself out. As he tried to roll and escape, I took his back and choked him out. Pretty happy considering I didn't really use any strength at all. Rolled a bit more in the adults class, and won several times but then got waxed by my instructor. Pretty good stuff today.

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.

I always laugh at the big guys that try to muscle everything. they always gas so quickly. Oh wait, I'm one of those guys.

Midget- Thanks bro. I was actually disappointed with them. I wanted quite a bit more, but maybe next time.

Coke- Thanks man. I'm just looking to get better. At this point, that's all I care about.

Brute- Haha yea. I latch on and go for a ride. As soon as they get tired, I'll sweep and work from there.

Eric- Thanks man. The pulldowns went good, but like I said, I wanted more on the dips.

Sat in class all ****in' day. Haven't felt like I had much energy the last couple of days. Don't know what's up, as I've stayed pretty hydrated lately. Kinda makes me mad, but oh well.

    Workout: Crossfit

    Location: School Gym

    Crossfit-

    4 rounds for time of-

    50 pushups
    50 squats
    50 true situps
    50 jumping jacks

    Time: 23:59

Actually fairly happy with this time now that I sit down and think about it. At first I thought I'd be able to finish under 20min pretty easy, but once I got into it I realized I'd be a bit slower. I had over 800 reps done in less than 24:00min, so that figures up to be 1.79 seconds per rep, which is actually fairly good. Squats are getting much better. Jumping Jacks were easy as ****. Pushups were unbroken first set, but quickly got much harder. Squats are getting much much better. Overall happy with today.

You said squats are getting better twice, biatch.

Good time, though. Now try this:

    100 chinups
    100 pushups
    100 situps
    100 squats

    And get sub 20.

Thanks man. I think once my abs get stronger, I'll be able to put up a better time. My instructor always waxes me pretty bad. I don't have a shot, unless he gives me a really good position to work from, and then he just sweeps me and beats me haha.

Nice work chubs. Anthony's 100x would be pretty tough for sure. That would really test your endurance in each particular movement. Good luck if you try it.

Eric- Yea Ant's will be a pretty tough one to crack in under 20min, mainly because my chins are going to suck major ass.

Kevin- Hold up!! After all the **** you gave me about doing Crossfit, now you're gonna try one...PFFFTTTZZZ!!! haha

Mik- Nah, if Ant can do it, it can't be THAT tough. The toughest thing would be finding a box tall enough for his short ass to stand on so he could reach the chins bar.

Haha alright. Remember, the squats are without any weight...Hate for you to die trying to do 100 with your bw on your shoulders.

Wow thanks Chub, and here I was thinking I'd go squat 160 a 100 times.
