nice job man.. you definitely do a ton of volume. I think care bear was telling me to put the spider guard pictures on photobucket? I'm not sure why, but that's the only thing that makes sense.

    Comments:

Today sucked. I've pulled or torn something in the crease of my leg, right between my groin and quad. I tried to push through it and stretch it out, thinking it might go away, but by the end of the night, I couldn't even squat enough to do a two arm swing. I don't know where it came from. I was fine all day, and then sat down on the mat and realized I was hurting. ****!!!!!! Really pisses me off. Hopefully it'll go away by tomorrow so I can grapple. I couldn't even complete half the damn workout. AHHHHH!!!

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.

Coke- Thanks man. It feels a good bit better today, but still hurt too much to grapple.

Didn't do much. Did some rounds of "Bas" but that's about it. Groin hurt to much to grapple.

Is it a sharp pain? If you are standing, can you lift your knee towards your chest? Hope you recover quickly!

Anthony- Yea I can pull my knee towards my chest without any pain. It is just a slight twinge today. I've been in and out of the shower a lot over the last two days and nights and it seems to be helping.

    Brute- Thanks man.

Mix- Yea I'm thinking it was just a bad pull.

I've taken like 8 showers in the past two days trying to combat this pull. It felt good enough to workout on tonight, though I took it light and didn't push very hard.

    Comments:

Not too bad of a workout considering I couldn't put much leg drive into the snatch. I decided to drop to a low weight and just speed through it and try to keep my heart rate up. Did a lot of snatches, 150 in total. Not a bad workout, though it didn't phase me all that much. I've had much worse.

Lighter and less intense is the way to go during this phase until all clears...volume is still crazy though bro.

    Coke- Thanks man.

Skipped out on BJJ tonight to go play soccer with the highschool. I played back when I was a senior. I really wish I had played all four years. It's funny how you don't miss things until you can't do them anymore. I smoked everybody endurance and conditioning wise though today. Even with a tight groin, I was faster than most. Gotta love the conditioning work I've been doing.

I know where you're coming from dude. I wouldn't mind going back and playing one more season of football, basketball and track.

The fight game does get you into some great condition don't it? You probably thought you were in great shape back when you played soccer. Compared to being in grappling shape you find out it was just ok shape at best.

Brute- Exactly. I played forward the entire time out there, and I never felt winded after any long sprints or series. I love it.

Weekly Weigh In: 156lbs. Down 1lbs from last week. One more pound to go and I'll be at the top of my weight class. VERY happy. When I flex I can actually see my abs. Never thought it would be possible. I love it.

    Workout: Gym Day

    Location: Hometown Gym

Close Grip Bench (pinkies on rough ring):

    45lbs x 10
    95lbs x 10
    135lbs x 5
    145lbs x 5
    145lbs x 5
    145lbs x 5
    145lbs x 5

Dead Hang Pullups (palms in, 3-5 pause at bottom):

    BW x 5
    BW +10lbs x 5
    BW +10lbs x 5
    BW +25lbs x 1
    BW +45lbs x 1
    BW +55lbs x 1
    BW +80lbs x 1 (+10lbs)

    Seated Rows:

    100lbs x 10
    120lbs x 5
    130lbs x 5
    140lbs x 5
    150lbs x 5
    160lbs x 5 (+10lbs)

    Good Mornings:

    45lbs x 5
    95lbs x 5
    135lbs x 5
    155lbs x 1

    Weighted Abs:

    4 sets x 10

    Comments:

CGBP felt pretty good. Had more in me, but nobody to spot, so I pounded through the 145. Originally I had decided to switch up the grip on my pullups and work some dead hangs. As I pounded through them, I realized I was able to pull a good bit. I decided I'd go for a bigger total for the Chin Competition and made a 10lbs jump. VERY happy with that, especially since I'm down two pounds since the last time I maxed on chins. Felt dead during the Good Mornings, but oh well. I suppose that's how things go.

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.

    Comments:

Fairly tough workout overall. Groin area still giving me a slight bit of trouble so I dropped one set of OH squats and a set of deep squats. The workout I'd do an hour prior to this one had left my muscles slightly fatigued, so some of the stuff was a bit tougher than normal. Got a damn good sweat going on. Feeling strong, even at this low weight. Overall a good session.

    Off- Thanks man.

Coke- Haha wouldn't say it's like nothing, but I pulled it off.

    BJJ:

Fixed triangles today in the kid's class as well as the adult's class. Did probably 7 2min Shadow Boxing Rounds and then 1 3min round with knees added in. Rest was less than 30 sec at max and usually around 20 sec between rounds. Good stuff. Got a helluva sweat going. Grappled at the end of the adult's class. One gi choke and a triangle. Easy stuff though.
