Detard- I appreciate it man, but I'm not very happy with them at all. Expected much more.

BW- Yea I'm really pissed I missed it. I figured with my CGs going up the way they were that I'd be able to lock it out no problem. So much for that.

Andrew, do you want to workout on campus tomorrow or are you gonna go home early?

Also, Friday's are my ME push press day, so when you go back to your normal schedule and push presses are your ME lift you're pretty much required to stay.

    Stumpy- Thanks man.

KJ- Haha alright sounds good man.

Coke- LOL dunno about being in the money, but I do like excelling at things.

Weekly Weigh In: 161.6lbs. Weight moved up pretty decently this week. Need to keep it up.

It was such a nice day out today. Definitely one of those days in which I'm glad I can workout in my garage.

    Workout: ME Lower

    Location: Home

    Weight: 161.6lbs

    ME Oly Squats-

    45lbs x 8 (WU)
    135lbs x 5 (WU)
185lbs x 3 (very easy, nice and deep)
    225lbs x 3 (very deep, easy set)
    245lbs x 1 (easy, nice form)
255lbs x 1 (easy lift, bit PR coming)
    275lbs x 2 (+15lbs PR and 1 rep PR, nice job)

    RDLs (sumo)-

    135lbs x 5 (DBL OH)
    225lbs x 5 (DBL OH)
    275lbs x 3 (mixed grip)
    315lbs x 5 (+1 rep)

    Rack Cleans (3" above knee)-

    45lbs x 5
    95lbs x 3
    115lbs x 1
    135lbs x 1
    145lbs x 1 (very smooth)
    165lbs x 1 (+10lbs, missed 1st because no shrug, shrugged on 2nd)

    Band TT-

    #2 Choked x 10/10
    #2 Choked x 10/10
    #2 Choked x 10/10

    Band Rack Crunches-

    #3 x 10
    #3 x 10
    #3 x 10

    Conditioning-

    80lbs SB Load from 10yrds x 5
    80lbs SB Load from 10yrds + 45lbs Turkish Getup 1/1 x 5

    Comments:

Definitely a good session today. I told ya'll I would make up for the poor perfomance yesterday. The squatting felt great. I had it in my mind all day that I was going to double 275. Felt good seeing as this is my worst stance. The RDLs went good but form was crap. Felt all out of the groove. The cleans felt pretty good as well. I've been trying to learn to shrug more and forgot on the first attempt at 165 but smoked the second. Pretty good for me since I can't get much of any leg drive on them from the rack. The conditioning work was more for fun than anything else. It felt great outside and I needed some sun, so I had a bit of a good time. Overall a very good day for me.

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.

Here's the sandbag fun from today.

    Video

And here's the rest of the workout. I know the RDLs are ****ty. I haven't done them in awhile and couldn't find a good groove.

McV- Thanks man. I felt pretty good going into the session.

    Chris- Haha thanks.

BW- Thanks man. The vids were boring to watch. Didn't have time to do anything with them other than trim them up a bit.

    Stumpy- Appreciate it bro.

Tournament went decently. We've bumped up divisions this year, so we're playing in the highest division in the tournament series. Ended up drawing a VERY tough schedule including last years overall X-Ball winners, last event's 2nd and 8th place team. They all were PBC teams which is a series of fields here in NC. Paintball is a very political and biased sport. Nearly all the refs in the series we play belong to PBC fields. This tournament we were "lucky" (note sarcasm) enough to have some of our opponents own players reffing. We couldn't get a fair shake at all on one of the fields. At one point, every single ref was on our side of the field, completely ignoring the team we were playing. It's hard to do anything when you've got to play the other team and the refs. Overall we ended up finishing 3-3 and ended up stopping a mudhole in the 2nd place team from last event. We played great ball but had some really poor calls all day. If things are on an even field, I don't honestly think that there is a team in the division that we can't beat. We're playing great ball right now. The ride sucked however. This tournament was on the other side of Atlanta so we decided to drive straight through on the way back. None of us felt like stopping. We had been playing in the 90degree heat for the last 6.5hrs so we just wanted to get back. I ended up driving 8hrs. It blew, but overall the weekend was awesome. I'll try to put up some pics as they get put up on the net.

Haha yea I had the bumper plates up there.

Was fairly tired going into the gym today. Still recovering from this weekend. Also played 45min of full court basketball before lifting. Probably wasn't the smartest thing.

    Workout: DE Upper

    Location: Campus Gym

    Weight: 161.6lbs

    DE Bench (4 Grip)-

    45lbs x 10 (WU)
    95lbs x 5 (WU)
    145lbs x 3 (pretty decent speed)
145lbs x 3 (decent speed, not exceptionally fast though)
145lbs x 3 (fastest set yet, arch decent)
    145lbs x 3 (pretty fast, better arch)
145lbs x 3 (speed felt pretty decent, remember to flex lats)
    145lbs x 3 (pressing was everywhere)
145lbs x 3 (fastest set, fairly decent tightness)
    145lbs x 3 (nice speed)

    Chins-

    BW x 8 (+1, WGPA)
    BW x 8 (+1, MGPA)
    BW x 8 (+1, CGPA)
    BW x 8 (+1, WGPI)
    BW x 8 (+1, MGPI)
    BW x 8 (+1, CGPI)

    CGBP-

    185lbs x 5
    185lbs x 5
    185lbs x 5 (spotter touched on 6th)

    Yates Rows (wide grip, OH)-

    135lbs x 8
    185lbs x 8 (+10lbs)
    185lbs x 8 (+10lbs)
    135lbs x 8 (Paused)

    Muscle Snatches-

    45lbs x 10
    45lbs x 10

    Comments:

Mixed feelings on the workout. I knew that today probably wouldn't be the fastest session considering the weekend I had. At the same time however, I really wanted to be able to fight through it. I really shouldn't have played basketball before lifting. Not sure if it made much difference, but I should've gone in fresh. Going to add weight to the chins next week. May start with 5lbs and bump up if it's too easy. The CGBP felt heavy today for some reason. Could've been a combination of the basketball and the weekend, but it just didn't come together like I wanted. Made some jumps in some stuff, but the pressing wasn't exactly like I wanted. Tomorrow should be a good day I believe. Looking forward to it.

Strength is looking good Chubs. I think it's cool you get to video tape your workouts. Squats looked good, along with the RDLs.

BoB- Thanks man. Appreciate the kind words. A lot of things I need to improve on though.

Felt better going into the gym today. Took a nap before I went and it seemed to help a bit. Of course the No Fear never hurts. Played basketball after lifting.

    Comments:

Pretty good speed session today. I decided I'm going to wave back down on the squats and work my way up. Been at 205 for a couple of weeks and don't feel like my speed has done anything, so I'm going to drop down a good bit and wave back up to where I am. My speed on the pulling seems to be coming along pretty good though. I was a bit lazy on the first couple of sets but decided to kick things in gear and the speed picked up over the last several. Decided to do some high pulls. Want to get used to shrugging up some heavier weight than I can clean. I'd love to be able to Power Clean 225 before I turn 21. We'll see. Overall some good speed overall and not a bad session. Looking forward to my max effort sessions this week.

Kev- Thanks man. I've been lucky in that I haven't really had any nagging injuries.

Eric- Very close. I don't bring it quite that high. I bring it to about sternum level.

Nate- Thanks man. I think you'll enjoy it a lot.

I'm not really following anything strict to be honest. I like conjugated periodization but don't feel like following a true WSB template is beneficial to me at this point. I rotate a lot of my lifts, as well as use some strongman type stuff during certain weeks.
