    Coke- Haha gotta keep reaching.

    Justin- Thanks man.

    Mike- Appreciate it.

LK- Haha it's ok. The 285 was touch and go.

Weekly Weigh In: 166.6lbs. Down in weight but that was expected. I've played a lot of soccer and tennis lately.

Have a tournament and worked all day yesterday. Also tweaked my groin so I decided to drop the ME Lower session and shift the ME Upper session to today.

    Workout: ME Upper

    Location: Home

    Weight: 166.6lbs

    ME Bench (doubles)-

    45lbs x 10 x 2 (WU)
    95lbs x 5 x 2 (WU)
    135lbs x 3 (very fast, tight arch)
155lbs x 3 (extremely fast, better than the DE days)
185lbs x 1 (nice single, set too far back)
    205lbs x 1 (much faster, nice arch)
215lbs x 2 (easy double, nice and smooth)
    225lbs x 2 (pretty smooth, tight arch)
240lbs x 2 (+5lbs PR, slow but I got it, brought VERY low)

    Chins (MGPI)-

    BW x 5
    BW +45lbs x 5
    BW +85lbs x 2 (+5lbs)
    BW +45lbs x 5
    BW x 5

    Band Pull Aparts-

    #2 x 10
    #2 closest x 10
    #2 closest x 10

    CGBP-

    45lbs + doubled #2s x 10
    65lbs + doubled #2s x 10
    85lbs + doubled #2s x 10
    115lbs + doubled #2s x 8

    BB Curls-

    55lbs x 10
    55lbs x 10

    Comments:

Actually a very good ME session for me. TheLion came over and lifted with me this morning. We spent all day in the heat and sun putting up a pool yesterday so I was fairly tired this morning. Didn't know what to expect. Turned out to be a good session. The 240 was pretty slow. I brought it extremely low, about to my abs. Everything seemed to track well and I got a good drive off my chest, just had to grind them out. The chins felt pretty good as well. Decided to throw some doubled bands on for the CGBP. Didn't work up to much bar weight, but there was a lot of tension on the bar. Overall a good session for both of us. It was good to have somebody to lift with.

    Off to the tournament.

Maybe invest in a loose pair of briefs.

Quality work with the chins and bench.

Lion- Haha yea they were a bit slow. Glad I got em though.

LK- I actually pull the groin playing soccer. It feels pretty good today though.

    Coke- Thanks man.

So yea, the tournament didn't go well at all. Rain and lightning delays didn't do much as far as keeping our intensity up. We played pretty poorly the whole tournament and had some gun issues which didn't help any. Oh well, just regroup and come back.

    Comments:

Speed was pretty good today. There were a couple of reps that I let come out of the groove but for the most part they were solid. Arch was pretty decent though I felt like I could've potentially setup a bit better. Like I said, my body was feeling a bit beat so I did some different work than I normally do. Will plan on getting back into my normal stuff next DE day. The band pushdowns were fun. Second time I've done them. Really seemed to hit the triceps pretty hard. Fairly decent session today for feeling beat up.

    BW x 10
    BW x 10
    BW x 10

    Comments:

Going to wave the weight on the squats for a bit. Next week will be back up to 265 then continue on up until I hit a new PR. Looking to build some speed, though it wasn't there today. The DLs off the platform were pretty smooth. My hips seemed high but it was still a smooth pull. If I squat down anymore with it I feel like I have to pull around my knees. The RDLs off the platform were fairly heavy. Worst part was breaking it off the ground. Got some decent ab work in. It's been quite awhile since I've done any Ghetto Reverse Hypers. I've got to keep them in my workout. They made my back feel quite good. Overall a pretty decent session though the speed on the squats wasn't there.

I always pull with a wide stance. I don't have those long arms like you do, so I'm stuck having to make my leverages work anyway I can.

So what would happen if someone with long arms and short legs went sumo?

    Solid DE session.

Hey, how ironic. I just made it onto the first page on number of views. I'm a few posts short of the first page in the post category though.

And since this is Chubrock's journal.... nice workout Chubs .
