Haha yea I suppose I should have.

Weekly Weigh In: 180.8lbs. Ate 1lbs of beef, 3 whole wheat tortillas and a half cup of shredded cheese Thursday night. Good dinner.

I put off my session until today. I've been having a lot of elbow pain so I wanted to get an extra day of rest. I'm going to warm up quite a bit and workout in a little while.

    Workout: DE Upper #2

    Location: Home Gym

    Weight: 180.8lbs

    DE Bench (raw)-

    135lbs x 3
    155lbs x 3
    185lbs x 1 (pretty smooth)
    185lbs x 1 (paused, arch should've been better)
185lbs x 1 (paused, much tighter, better speed)
    185lbs x 1 (paused, even better)

    Blast Strap Chins-

    BW x 12 (+2 reps)
    BW x 10
    BW x 5
    BW x 5

    Rack Press (3-4" above chest)-

    135lbs x 8
    155lbs x 8
    185lbs x 5
    205lbs x 5
    225lbs x 3

One Arm Hand Supported DB Rows-

    50lbs x 5/5
    70lbs x 5/5
    70lbs x 5/5
    70lbs x 5/5

    Comments:

Overall a good session. The 185 felt pretty smooth and had some decent pace on it. I've really got to tighten up my arch. I'll be ready though, no worries at all. The rack presses felt pretty good. I'll pick it up a bit next week and go from a little higher. With a big arch this was only a couple of inches off my chest. Pretty happy with how things feel.

    Comments:

Pretty decent work today. Woke up and was fairly stiff, especially in my neck. Decided to do some SSB squatting. Felt decently solid. That old suit is way too easy to get on. It's more like a singlet. Speed off the box wasn't spectacular, but for essentially being raw, I'll take it. Upper and Middle Back are toast from trying to hold an arch with the SSB. Fairly good work though. I'll be ready.

    Comments:

Speed was feeling quite nice today. I decided to work up to my opener. I'll probably stay 10% under next session, but I wanted to get a feel for it. I've got a good shot at smoking all my bench attempts as 205 felt nice and quick. Setup was tight but wasn't getting much leg drive. The rows went well as did the chins. Got a nice pump in my lats haha. The floor presses felt great as well. Wanted to work up to 205 for 5 but my triceps were shot.

    Comments:

Ahhh I feel like a lifter again. The squatting felt great. I was sitting back pretty nicely into my briefs and really worked on hitting depth. The pressure built up like a mother and I thought my head was going to explode. It was awesome. Overall some great squatting.

Appreciate it Indifference. Opening with 385SQ/205BP/315DL. All of these are a lot lower than my PRs, but with the back issue I had, I'm having to claw my way back to where I was.

Do you have an idea of what your 2nd and 3rd attempts will be, or are you going to decide after you see how your 1st attempts feel?

    Lion- For sure bro.

Brute- The plan for my attempts are:

    SQ- 385, 405, 425

    BP- 205, 225, 245

    DL- 315, 335, 355

With that said, after I get 2 good solid lifts in, I may go for something bigger on my 3rd attempt.

Lones- Yea I'm thinking so. I just need to get a sanctioned meet under my belt so I have something to go off of.

    Stumpy- Thanks man.

Chris- Yea, there's an APF/AAPF meet in Charleston on the 15th. I figured it would be a good one to go to for my first.

    Comments:

Speed was fairly decent. My lowerback was a bit tight so my arch wasn't 100%. I still stayed pretty tight and my speed was pretty decent. Overall I was fairly happy. RCs were acting up as well, so I had to be smart about doing ****. Decent session today.

Smooth session today. My speed and setup felt great. Had my lifting partner give me the commands. Everything felt great. Even 205 felt pretty solid. I'm definitely planning on smoking all of my pressing attempts. We'll see how things go tomorrow but I imagine I'll feel great then as well. Overall some solid work today.
