This week has been somewhat of a deload. My lower back was giving me trouble earlier in the week so I didn't have any heavy lower work. Decided to lift today because I felt like I needed to do something. I want to give my back the rest of the week off though, so no arching or leg drive.

Maybe do some hypers and stretch. When my backs giving me grief that seems to help a lot. When it's real bad I'll start every morning with a few sets of hypers and crunches and then stretch my back, hips and glutes out with any and every stretch I can think of.

Brute-I'm going to really start working on some stretching. The vast majority of my problems stem from overuse, so I've just got to be extra careful.

    Comments:

Fairly good pressing today. My weight is going down but my strength is holding fairly steady. I think my spotter tapped the bar but I'm not sure. Technique is pretty decent at this point. I've got a lot of work but it's coming together. Decided to do some heavy chins. Nothing spectacular but overall it went pretty good.

    Location: CF Wilmington

    Weight: ~175lbs

    Reverse Cindy-

As Many Rounds As Possible in 20 minutes of:

    15 Squats
    10 Pushups
    5 Chins

    Score- 22 rounds + 15sq + 4 pushups (+2 Round PR over Cindy)

    Comments:

Pretty good score today. I was actually pleased with the way the pushups went. Normally I burn out very quickly, but this time I was able to go through 21 rounds before breaking up the pushups. The chins were easy as always. I've got a nasty blood blister going on but it'll be okay. Overall a good effort.

    Nice score on Cindy man.

And are you staying this weekend? I'm going to break from the downtown thing and go with Dirty/the Beach on Friday night.

And did you see the "w/ Jetlag" thing on Mr. Special Forces' (Tony's) score for yesterday?

    Thanks Lones.

Jake, I'll hit 405 for a triple soon enough. Don't worry.

Justin, I won't be down here this weekend. I'm going back (surprise surprise). Yea I saw the jetlag thing beside Tony's score. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt considering he's been in the sandbox for 6 weeks.

Has Tony not given you the speech about how he can function on no sleep for weeks after hiking 42 miles with a 65lb bag?

OK one more thing because I just noticed and it's hilarious.

I looked at the WOD for the day, and noticed Tony looking a bit chubby. So...I walked into CrossFit and mentioned (after letting him know I'm glad he's not dead, etc) that he was looking a little out of shape.

And now, I can't help but notice that he changed the picture within 5 minutes of me saying that!! hahahaha

I think I'll give that "reverse cindy" a try today. It's about the same as what I was going to do anyways. Unless there's another circuit you'd like to see me try instead. Nothing with running though, as I don't have a track handy. Can I assume kipping pullups are ok?

You could either do the traditional Cindy or Reverse Cindy. They're both pretty good. Kipping pullups are fine.

Well I hadn't planned on working out today, but I ended up going to the gym and did the WOD.

    Workout: Metcon

    Location: CF Wilmington

    Weight: ~175lbs

    3 Rounds for time of-

    35lbs Turkish Getup 5/5
    Bar Dips x 15
    GHR Situps x 10
    GHR Back Extensions x 10
    20lbs Wall Ball Shots x 10
    10lbs Sledgehammer Swings x 10/10
    Burpees x 10
    Box Jump x 10
    250m Row

    Time: 23:10

Pretty disappointed. All the pressing and squatting has left my shoulders thrashed. This workout really seemed to do a number on them so I burnt out pretty quickly. I posted the 3rd best time but I really thought I could break 20 minutes. Pissed.

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.

Nah, I just went up there to hang out. Hadn't planned on doing the workout at all. Beninate has gotten it into his head that he can beat me in a head to head challenge. I'm not sure what the **** he's thinking.

He beat me today in that workout, though I fully expected it. He made the suggestion that we should do a weighted Murph...
