Smashing efforts mate, good work on the OHSQ's. Today's WOD is Back squat 5x5 but another day this week I'll have to give them a try.

Tom- Good deal man. I appreciate it.

    1.8 Mile Run-

Time on Original Course- 12:16 (58 sec PR)

    Time on Extended Course - 12: 36 @ 7:00/mile

    Comments:

The run went really well today. Pushed the pace pretty hard. I'm thinking next week I'll run 1.5 and see where I sit. I'm hoping for a low 10 at least.

Haha, nah wasn't windy. Was actually pretty hot. It's been quite awhile since I ran solely this distance, so I expected to hit a good PR.

Back has been aching and kind've tight over the last several days, so I haven't done any lifting.

Did 800m x 2 with 5:00 rest between each run.

    Times-

    2:56 (13 sec PR), 3:00

    Comments:

Hamstrings felt especially tight today. Legs felt like I had nothing going. Had planned on running 3 x 800 but decided to just lay off. I need some extra rest. I've been running it pretty hard as of late. Will get back into things on Monday.

Fuck, fight, or hold the light.

    Comments-

Pretty good numbers today in the gym. Pleased with the effort. I'm about 10lbs lighter than the last time I ran 5-3-1 with Mil Press. My numbers seem to be right on par with where I left off which is good. The running went well today. I came up 11m short from my goal. I'll have to work on that. Good effort though.

    stretching

800s with 4 minutes separating the two:

    Times- 2:30 (26 sec PR), 3:03

    Comments:

OH Squatting was so-so. For some reason I was having a hard time staying tight. My left shoulder wanted to roll slightly forward. With that said, I was able to hit a 3 rep PR, which I'm pretty happy with. Even though 205 is nothing, it's the heaviest I've been on front squatting in quite awhile. I really need to stay more consistent with it. I don't normally run on Tuesdays, but the gym was doing some 800s and I figured I'd participate. It's amazing what having a little competition does for my times. The 2nd 800 wasn't at max effort. Hamstrings tightened up quite a bit so I just took it easy.

    Workout: WOD

    Location: CF Wilmington

    Weight: ~170lbs

    WOD-

    4 Rounds for time:

    35m Walking Lunges w/ 45lbs Plate
    30 Box Jumps (20")
    20 Weighted Chinups (16kg)

    Time- 27:42

    Comments:

This was fairly tough. Biggest issue was my lower body was already smoked from the 4 workouts I had between Monday and Tuesday. The first set of box jumps took the longest as I felt like my legs wouldn't operate. It took a round or two for everything to loosen up. After that my chinups are what took the longest. I'd imagine they took about half the time. Haven't done that many weighted chinups in awhile.

Risk- Haha yea it was pretty ****ty. I'm smoked today. Everything is hurting.

Good- I'll have to see what I can do. I may have to use a bar as we don't have any sandbags that heavy. We'll have to see. Was there anything in between those sets, or was it basically 46 Thrusters as fast as possible?

    Comments:

Wow. Hot is an understatement. I probably shouldn't have run, but oh well. **** it. I'll be attending The Basic School in the hottest part of the year. I might as well get used to it sucking. I had an outstanding pace on the first half (8:42). As soon as I turned around and climbed that long hill, the heat hit me hard. The thought crossed my mind that it would be mighty easy to quit, but it just ain't in me. I was bonking pretty badly but trudged on through it. The last half was more than a minute slower than the route there. With this heat, I'm surprised I ran as well as I did.

    Comments:

OH Pressing was decent today. I was a couple of reps shy of a PR. With that said, I'm also 15lbs lighter than the last time I attempted the lift. My running went alright. It's been two months since I last ran this WOD. I'm a bit disappointed that my PR wasn't a good bit better, but the temperature was once again pretty hot (high 80s). With that said, no excuses. Gotta get faster.

Taking it easy. Just doing some light WODs. Nothing heavy. I'm heading to Chucktown this weekend to lift and hangout with HomeY. Want to make sure everything feels pretty decent. The times on the WODs were pretty decent. Grip took a beating.

Haha while I appreciate the vote of confidence Sid, I'm average at best.

    WOD: For time...

    Row1000m
    Run 800m
    100 air squats
    100 push ups
    Run 800m
30 pull ups (Chest to Bar)

    Time- 22:15

    Comments:

Tough WOD. I'm a terrible rower and paced myself on the row. The running felt pretty good, as it should at this point. I can tell I haven't been doing many CF WODs as of late. My running carried my time while everything high rep smoked me. I was doing sets of 10 on the BW squats and it was killing me. Had the 3rd best time up on the board when I left. More a testament to my running as of late than anything. Another hot day. Sitting somewhere around 90F. Nice and muggy.

Yea, especially when I suck at rowing and am not efficient in the least bit. I started cramping towards the end of the pushups. Couldn't hold my arms up or shoulders back during that last run.

Sorry for the late reply to your question.

It was just 46 thrusters as fast as possible!
I started off well with 3 sets of 7 pretty much after each other but then it was the odd few I could do. The last set of 5 killed me!

You're improving all over the place Chub Haven't been in here in a while and I have to say the improvement that one gets from CF workouts for all aspects of fitness is impressive.
