The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Ouch!

Some guy at the gym last night was doing calve exercises on the inverted leg press. He forgot to put in the safety pins on the machine and his toes slipped off and the sled came down and shattered his knee caps. I wasnt there but i was told it was awful.

I was wondering if anyone ever did that. I always make sure the pins are set above my knees for just that reason.

I saw something similar happen to some lady at my gym. She was on the leg-press machine and didn't lock the saftey lever, needless to say the whole thing, weight and all came down on her leg and snapped it like a twig, she ended up with a compound fracture(bone through skin). It was pretty nasty, I went home and drank my milk!

T, many 45-degree sled-type leg presses have little safety-stop pins you can put in to limit how low the sled slides down...

Man that made me get shivers. I once saw someone achilis heel sticking out their leg. After that I stopped doing calf raises for about one month. That was nasty.
