I haven't heard about any cases of that happening...
But I guess I'll have to wait and see.
That was the 1st generation Ipod...
While the battery isn't amazing, hopefully it will never fail.
I think they would have a lot of irked customers.
I have the Mini. Love it. I use the arm band. New iPods are coming out. Smaller and longer battery life (12 hour use). Pisses me off too! If I had known, I would've waited. Damn Apple!
I got my 15 GB one a week before the 20 one came out with the 12 hr battery.
Hehe, who cares about how it looks, hell It can even have fuzzy pink dice handing from the thing - as long as it gets the job done, it's all good.Originally Posted by illa_noize

see, here's my gripe. who cares that they are handing them out - that's fine. good for the freshmen.
some (if not "many") of these kids are bound to already have iPODs, so what are these kids going to do with the complimentary ones? give them to their friends/family that don't attend duke? f*ck that. give it to me.

Nope, they're going up on Ebay. That's what I would do. Probably get at least $200 easy. Not bad, especially when you are a college student.

The half-million citizens of the District of Columbia, like citizens of the fifty states, bear all of the obligations of American citizenship: they are required to obey the laws passed by Congress; they pay federal taxes; they serve in the military; and they fight and die in our wars. Yet they lack the most basic right that should accompany American citizenship—the right to full voting representation in Congress. This makes the United States the only nation in the world with a representative, democratic constitution that denies citizens of its capital representation in the national legislature. In fact, no fewer than 183 nations provide their citizens the type of representation citizens of Washington, DC are denied.

For all us students in North Carolina, this weekend is a sales tax free holiday for school stuff, including computers. Now that Duke is giving out ipods as an "edumacational tool" I suppose this means I can get my Ipod tax free this weekend.
dude, that's a greseat ideesa.
Well, it was a $370 idea. But that's $70 cheaper than it would have been. It's so damn shiny, I had to buy it.Originally Posted by Allenronm
use a wrist band. Put ipod under it and it's pretty comfy. Unfortunately you might hang yourself on the wires.

Ok this is a bump so that I don't make a brand new topic, but I had a question ..
I'm thinking about getting an iPod. I pretty much just plan on using it in the gym and while doing cardio. I don't want one that is going to bounce and stuff (even keys kind of get on my nerves for cardio), so I was thinking I might need a nano and an arm band or something. Does this cause a problem when doing something like squats/bench/curls or other exercises and is the nano the way to go?
Also, I hate the head phones that you have to shove into your ear. They bother the hell out of me. Does anyone have a better idea on which ones to buy for the gym? Thanks a bunch.
I also think the iPod wristband is pretty slick too. Nike is actually making an entire series of clothing for the nano. You can find it here. It includes wristbands, armbands, shirts with sleeves and headphone management.
I use a shuffle in the gym. I thought I would hate it, but recently got one as a groomsman's gift. It is perfect for the gym. *edit* since it's a shuffle I just put it in my pocket...works great!

I just put mine in my pocket...do not do that armband thing..please!!
Woah, that looks cool as ****. If I get more into cardio I'm going to have to get that.Originally Posted by ectx
The armband works exceptionally well. I have a 30GB Video and it sits on the arm perfectly. The headphones that came with it are still in their original packaging- I got the Sony noise-cancelling headphones and they come with a two-length cord: you can shorten it so that it's perfect for an iPod on your arm and you don't get a long cord getting in the way, tangling, catching, etc.
You can get them in white, silver, or black, I think. Use the search. LOVE the headphones (great bass).
