    Anybody ever go this simple?

    Has anyone ever tried a routine as simple as

    full squat
    bench
    cable row

    Done 2-3 times per week? Nothing else, nothing more.

    I'm wondering how many of you go real basic, or find this to be way too much of a bare bones routine.

    bench = pec, tricep, some front delt
    full squat = quads, hams, some calf, abdominal
    cable row = lats, some rhomboid/trap, bicep, rear delt, forearms

    your hitting just about all the muscle groups...only change is I might do pullups over cable rows...but thats just me...

    depends what your goals are and how long you've been lifting...

    The only time I did something like this is during tough weeks of football training/practice. It's a great way to maintain strength if you don't have the time/energy to get into the gym for a more complex split routine. I never relied on it for building muscle and strength, but I'm sure it would do just that with the proper intensity.
