Population of the town you grew up in...

this is a neat little thing, shows the population of a zip

    http://www.census.gov/cgi-bin/gazetteer?zip=07830
(just change the zip at the end of the URL)

the town I grew up in doesn't have a post office so its not on the map, next nearest town is the same thing, but the next town is where the mail gets routed to
Zip Code: 07830 PO Name: Califon (NJ)
    Population (1990): 5526

check the tiger map and play with the census things below, its kinda cool!

while your at it check here for sex crimes in your town!

The results will likely be different for your zipcode and your home town. My zipcode had a population of ~4,000 in 1990. My town had a population of ~29,000 in 1990. Both values are listed on the site.

Yeah, my zipcode has about 57,000 but my city has over 606,000 people.

I grew up in a town that had a total of 12 people in the graduation class. I think the total population was around 2500 yearly but during deer season it probably swelled to 10,000.

Man, my graduation class was over 500 and they rushed us through our ceremony because other high schools had to have theirs. Every two hours one high school went in, one came out.

23,713 is what that said for '90. Although the city I technically live outside of has over 250k people.

7000 where I grew up. That's actually the nearest town. The area I grew up in had a post office for several years but a couple years before '90 they closed it down. I'd actually say less than 500 for my home town.

My high school freshmen class had over 320 students but only 126 of us graduated. Probably only 5 of us went on to graduate from college and I think my gf is the only one with any post graduate classes.

Not big at all, and I like it that way. I think we had 300 people or so in my graduating class.

The city I live in has definatley gotten a lot bigger, though. I think it's around 20,000-25,000 now.

There are several zip codes for the town I grew up in. Total populations is right around 1,000,000 now. Down a few hundred thousand from when I was growing up.

    Mine also.

My zip code registered as around 6,000, but I can see why from the map it gave. Where it centered the zip code is nowhere near where I actually live. If I were about a half mile north, it would register as less than 2,000.

about 5000 during most of my childhood, just over 6000 now.

In summer however we get about 40 k German tourists. A huge percent of the area is camping space
