Sprained back = no compound movements. Need ideas 4 routine.

Hurt it last week. Getting better but still have pain when its bent at a certain angle. Bummer because I was going from my current HST type to WBB1 routine. It will be WBB1 without the compound movements. Any ideas on some substitutes for DL and squat that would fit into this routine. The other option is doing a chest-bicep/legs/back-tricep routine with no compound movements using added volume to make up for the DL and squat. Anny suggestions welcome.
