    Ideal training program?

Summer vacation starts next week and im going to have a lot of free time. my current Split is like day1 chest, day 2 back, day 3 legs, day 4 arms. I was thinking of keeping this split and running or playing sports 3 times a week to stay lean and keep my cardiovascular health up. Just trying to gain as much lean mass as possible this summerbasically.. im 6ft 170ish right now.. and somewhat lean

There is no ideal program to lifting weights. Everyone's different. Do what works best for you. The first few months are just a lot of experimenting.

Put some rest days in there between your days in the gym. Check out some of the wanna be big routines for a few guidelines. If you're trying to gain weight keep in mind the more cardio/sports you do the more calories you burn off.
My brother and I were brutal. I once chased him around the house with a spoon that I put on the burner. I burned that little pricks leg. -sharkall2003

Then I saw a little african boy sleeping, and I thought...that is little Okeke. he is tired from herding all the goats and the big goat got away today - Rock

just make up for the calories you burn while performing any type of cardiovascular exercise.
