I experienced some shakes during my deads just the other day. I was doing 5+ for just a few reps when I started getting really really shaking during the lift. I almost looked goofy I suppose but I got the weight up.
I don't think it was the weight being too heavy its never happend like that before. Oh I had just done a complete shoulder workout as well.
Your shoulders were probably just fatigued. If I workout my arms really hard for example and then hold something out in front of my I start shaking like crazy. Same deal if I workout legs and then just try to hold one up in the air with no support.
In the future I would suggest doing deads first though, you'd be less likely to injure yourself while doing shoulders with a fatigued back than doing deads with anything fatigued since that exercise uses muscles in your entire body for lifting and stabilization. Imagine if you shook so much that your body twisted and you tore something under the strain or if a plate vibrated off the bar and it pulled you to one side. This happened to a guy at my gym, he deadlifted without collars, and he didn't pull the weight up straight. The weight slipped off, jerked him to one side tearing something by his neck/trap and it can't be fixed w/o surgery.
If your legs are shaking when doing Deads it's usually a result of poor form. More than likely you are allowing your butt to come up when it should stay down. As soon as your butt comes up your legs lock out and you are forced to complete the lift using olnly your back. Keep your head and chest up when starting the lift. Drive your heels "through" the floor and keep your butt down!! Hope this helps.
Sounds like weak tendons.
