The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

"Test all things; hold fast what is good.": 1 Thessalonians 5:21

"I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

Wow, I never realized he was 93, at least he lived a nice, long life. Although he was plauged with health problems for a while.

I was 5 or 6 years old when he was shot. I wrote him a "Get Well" card, drew it up, made some cut-outs and threw those in there too (I think I drew a four leaf clover with a crayon), signed it and sent it.

Got a "Thankyou" note about a month later, with the Presidential Seal. Of course, it was one of probably hundreds of thousands that was laser printed and mechanically stamped, but hey....I thought I was pretty cool.

Sort of interesting (and sad) to look back on that idiot Hinkley, and know that the "starving actress" he was trying to impress at the time was none other than a young Jodie Foster.

He had such a unique ability to unite people across the nation, even from different parties. It's almost impossible to be THAT universally popular, without coming off as "phony" or "slick". Geez, even his enemies respected him.

Quite a remarkable guy. The right President at the right time, for sure.

I heard a story from some reporter that when the reporter went to the oval office to interview Reagan , he told reagan to relax and take off his coat since it will be an easy interview . Reagan told him he couldn't take off his coat and relax because he too much respect for the oval office .

Anyway , Majestic had it right about it being impossible to be that popular coming off as phony or slick .

Great man ... rest in peace .

    My sentiments exactly.

He was a week older than my grandfather is, so I always remembered when his birthday rolled around.

    Rest in peace, Mr. Reagan.

I agree, Alzheimer's ain't funny and shouldn't be taken lightly of.

I thought it was cool, that he was an actor in some of the classics before getting involved in politics.

That blows BIG C , I couldnt imagine my grandma not knowing me as she died . She's 90 right now and still pretty fun , but she's definately on the back side of life .

If she didn't know me she's forget to call me sh*t a$$ when we joke around .
