    Reagan reactions

Does anyone here think reagan should be on US Currency? I'm all for replacing the non presidents(Hamilton/Franklin), but does Reagan deserve the spot before other presidents?

There is a news story about adding his dome to Rushmore, I think that is a bit of a stretch and should not be done.

Lastly, if I ever hear another government employee b!tch about their job I will kill them. They now get friday off to remember Reagan. I also think this is a bit much. I dont think my mail man is going to spend the day eflecting on Ronald Reagan, rather I'm sure he will be out fishing.

I don't think he should be on Rushmore. It shouldn't be touched.

If they wanted to mint a few editions of the .50 piece to honor him, I'd be all for it. I think we're ok with who we have on our currency, for the most part.

    I said .50 because, well, I'm broke and I haven't seen a 50 or 100 dollar bill...ever. I want a denomination that I might actually be able to own.

"I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

Hey, not everyone will be off on Friday. I'm a government contractor and I still have to report in . Oh well, I'll have nothing to do but......

I don't think there is enough viable and stable rock left to put his face on Rushmore anyway. He has enough stuff with his name on it anyway. The second largest office building in the city (the largest being the Pentagon) is named after him, as well as, National Airport was renamed Ronald Reagan National Airport, and an aircraft carrier.

I heard that there is talk of replacing FDR on the dime with Reagan, but Nancy Reagan is against the idea. So, it has been thought that they would mint both dimes with FDR and Reagan. In either case, it would be fiercely defended by the Democrats.
