The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    vomiting after heavy lifts...

Do any of u guys ever puke after a heavy lift, i did a military bb press for 3x6 (1x6, 1x5 1/2, 1x5), then after that last rep i threw the weight down and just puked my guts up but felt fine after. Is that ok?

sometimes it's just about eating/not eating to match

myself, if i don't have SOMETHIGN in my stomach 45 mins before heavy lifting, I'll hurl

others can't eat anything prior to lifting

It happens with squats and deadlifts 2, sometimes with bent over rows aswell. Actually they usually make me feel sick, not hurl, but yeah, it made me look and feel ultimately hardcore lol

Whatever you do, please make sure it ends up on the floor or something and not the weights or machines.
The half-million citizens of the District of Columbia, like citizens of the fifty states, bear all of the obligations of American citizenship: they are required to obey the laws passed by Congress; they pay federal taxes; they serve in the military; and they fight and die in our wars. Yet they lack the most basic right that should accompany American citizenship—the right to full voting representation in Congress. This makes the United States the only nation in the world with a representative, democratic constitution that denies citizens of its capital representation in the national legislature. In fact, no fewer than 183 nations provide their citizens the type of representation citizens of Washington, DC are denied.

u puke because of the stress you put on your stomach, even when you're not trying to work them. it happens to me on squats, deads and legpress

Seriously, you get 15 extra points for re-eating your own sick. Thats so cool....you worked your ass so hard you puked and then you had the decency not to make a mess on the floor and ate it again.

you are an animal and a gent.

Regarding why it happens...i can think of some reasons...but they all seem flawed. Id like a definative answer myself. The stomach is shut down dueing exercise by the sympathetic nervous system, but i dont really think that contributes to helping you throw up when training super hard. anyone know an answer to this one?

You guys are ****ing nasty. Puking, bah. It did happen to me once but it was after I got home from the gym, I was on a fatburner and did squats that morning. Never happened again.

LOL. I've swallowed my own sick in the gym as well. Then kinda looked around to see if anyone figured what was going on. Thank goodness no one noticed.

dissipate - I try to take several deeps breathes after every set.
Oxygen I heard is good for the body.
