    I'm pretty sure it is. Either way it's basically the same movement. Same as skull crushers.

    Ok..so when you do "skull crushers", do you bring the bar to your head and repeat, or behind your head and repeat?

    I have seen people do it both ways. I have always brought the bar slightly behind my head.

    french press, lying tricep extensions, nose breakers, skull crushers... all the same thing.

    As for form I prefer to bring to my forehead and back to the top..

    I found bringng the bar over my head uncomfortable and also less controlled and invlovled more of a swing/cheat..

    I donlt know how anyone could do this exercise without a spotter. It is potentially very dangerous..

    wmiller; it doesn't really matter where you bring the bar. it's basically the same movement either way. just do what you prefer or feel safe doing.

    ive always thought a french press was when your sitting straight up or at an incline and a skull crusher is when youre laying down. no, wait, im sure thats what it is.

    Bah how is it dangerous...if it's too much weight then you can just drop to your chest and sit up...if you are already in the decline phase towards your skull you just move it past your head and let go...no spotter required...

    I take skullkrushers to my forehead at a slow, controlled movement.

    lol, well I consider 45 k over my forehead training to failure pretty dangerous..

    Also with this exercise I find out everything seems to give at once.. Once you get to near failure it seems to just go completely for me.
