    cardio before or after lifting?

    A friend of a friend told me that i should leave my cardio for after my lifting because cardio releases growth hormones. Is this true?

    No. And do cardio on non-lifting days.

    If you must do them in the same session, do cardio last.

    Hmmm, I do cardio first to get it out of the way. Only 30 mins and then lift right after. Guess I should change that eh?

    Do some research on here about your muscles going catabolic and things like that. I really don't wanna type that much today, so maybe somebody else can explain what that means besides me. Today is my off day for the gym and I'm being a lazy ass.

    IMO, yes.

    I wouldn't wanna waste energy on cardio for fear I won't be able to put enough into my lifting. I want as much energy as possible so I left as much as I can.

    Mind you, I freely admit. I hate cardio!
