    New Bench Shirt and first meet

    I just got my new Inzer H.P.H.D. Single Ply BLAST Bench Shirt like a week ago and I was liking it. I went to my first benchpress meet (outside of the Highschool powerlifting meets). It was bench only, and put up 270# and barly missed 285, missed b/c i aint use to the shirt and I didn't get it on the right place on my chest. So I ended up with 270# at the end of the day. Man, Tiny Meeker put up 800# in a single ply poly shirt. It was crazy. Got to see a world record in person at my first meet. Anyways just excited to get a to go to a meet and watch some great lifting.

    Well without the shirt i had hit 265 but it wasnt pause, it was the first competioin in a long time and i hadn't maxed for like 2 months before this. So i can now pause more than i use to do in a gym lift. I'm doing a full meet July 24 and i will have updated stats.

    July 24th APA is having a meet in Houston, Its call record Breakers or somthing like thats. Man I cant wait to go I'm looking for a 290 bench, 480 squat, and like 350 on dead that'll break the squat record and i'll rebreak my own Texas record on bench. Evan my powerlifting coach at my highschool is going to lift.

    15 years old benching 270 is great.

    I'm 30 and only bench 315lb (raw)

    At 15, I was probably benching about 135lbs, but also only weighed about 120lbs!

    Oh don't misconceive, I think its a great lift also just wandering if or how they called it a record. Wt class or age group or what I did a bench contest as a teen and the fella that one did 400 or close to it at 17 or 18 yrs of age without a shirt if I remember correctly. Touch and go without a pause though and probably 185 pd wt. class.

    okay the record in the APA are low evan to me, like all I had to do was hit 215 and I had the record. So i had it on my opening lift. The record is for the 13-15 yearold and 181 weight class. I could of hit more i think but oh well I'll go higher in july.

    Oh yeah sorry been traing harder latly not as much tim on computer sorry it took so long for a response

    Are you J. Devereaux? What federation did you hit 450 on squat? According to APA's website, that would be a Texas record (current is 425). What's your best total? Your competition stats suggest 1070, which would also be a Texas record (current is 1040). I'm just curious.

    I was planning on going to the July 24th record breakers as well but something came up that week and I couldn't go. I'm 16 and I was going to try for the bench record. I can max 320-330ish raw, don't know about shirt.

    225lb @ 17% bodyfat, currently cutting
    Current lifts while cutting (all raw): bench 275x4, squat 365x8
    Estimated current maxes: 300 bench / 450 dead / 450 squat
    Competition / Gym PRs (from March 08)
    Bench: 325 raw / 385 loose shirt
    Deadlift: 450 raw ADFPF 04/26/08
    Squat: 405 raw

    Those stats are from a Texas High School meet and they arnt evan close to record for texas highschoolers, b/c there is no age groupes so i have to outdo people who are older than me like seniors and i'm just a little freshman. That bench press meet was the first one I did outside of THSPA <<(Texas High School Powerlifting Association) so I havent got to squat at an APA meet yet. I hope to get the squat and total record and rebeat my bench in july, but no chance I can grip the 415 i would have to break the record with out a lifting strap in my left hand, just not enought grip.
