    Your Favourite Saturday Morning 'Toon

Talking about Transformers made me think about all the Sat. morning 'toons I used to watch. Get up Sat. morning and there would be a 4 hours of 'toons. (Before the age of the PC and sat dishes) Those were the best 4 hours of television for the week. I used to love G.I. Joe, Dungeons & Dragons, Alvin and the Chipmunks and The Smurfs to name a few.

Sat. morning is no longer 'toon time. Kids now get crap. The great tradition of Saturday Morning Cartoons is over. Kinda sad in a way.

What was your favourite Sat. Morning cartoon? I would have to say mine was Dungeons & Dragons. I used to love that 'toon.

I want to say He-Man and Thundercats, but I think they came on in the afternoons. Those would be my choices. Plus Thunderbirds.
The half-million citizens of the District of Columbia, like citizens of the fifty states, bear all of the obligations of American citizenship: they are required to obey the laws passed by Congress; they pay federal taxes; they serve in the military; and they fight and die in our wars. Yet they lack the most basic right that should accompany American citizenship—the right to full voting representation in Congress. This makes the United States the only nation in the world with a representative, democratic constitution that denies citizens of its capital representation in the national legislature. In fact, no fewer than 183 nations provide their citizens the type of representation citizens of Washington, DC are denied.

Definately Transformers, Thundercats, Garfield, and the old Ninja Turtles. Sigh...too bad there are no good shows on now.
    Too cool for school.

Anyone remember Exosquad? that was my favorite cartoon of all time.
Out of the night that covers me,Black as the Pit from pole to pole,I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul. In The fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance my head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears looms but the horror of the shade And yet the menace of the years finds, and shall find, me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate how charged with punishments the scroll,I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.

    2. X-Men
    3. GI Joe (was this a saturday cartoon? I can't even remember)
    4. Smurfs

Fraggle Rock was awesome too, but it wasn't a cartoon. The theme song was the $hit.

I have very fond memories of eating tuna sandwiches my mom prepared and watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Ghostbusters on Saturday mornings.

    Dungeons and Dragons by far.

    That toon rocked.

Followed by GI Joe...if you saw a new character in an episode, you knew he/she was gonna rip their face off and reveal themselves to be destro/baroness as they run away laughing.

It was the cartoon where a bunch of kids went on a dungeons and dragons ride at a carnival and something warped them into an alternate dimension - the D&D world...and their main objective was to get home.

    It rocked.

Anyone remember "Bravestarr" and "Masters of the Universe", where he-man had that tiger which wore the mask? I remember having the read-along cassette of them too.

XMen, original Looney Tunes when they gave them in the morning and DragonBall Z when it was on the cartoon network saturday morning. I believe the DBZ was 2-3 hours long if I remember correctly, think it was a temporary thing though . I'm not up early saturday mornings anymore however, so I wouldn't be able to tell you if any of these are still on.=(
