    Hip pain while benching.

When I bench heavy 6-10 reps failure, I get this sharp pain in my right hip. And I sometimes have to stop because of it.

I have only feelt it the last 2 or 3 times I have benched. I use dumbbells and I arch my back.

you'll probably be pushing down with your legs too hard to help lift the weight.

Have you ever read Charles Stanley's article on how the bench is the best Hamstring mass builder? If not, check it out.

LOL at that article. I wish he'd gone ahead and done the next article on curls being a good low back exercise.

big brick try moving your feet to a different spot when you do the db presses. It might just be your muscles cramping or twisting somthing the wrong way.

Try putting your feet up on the bench. That should take some of the strain off your lower body.

I agree with gb. Sometimes in certain positions(even when not lifting) my hips will cramp up.
