    Vanessa,

When I said more traditional I meant with respect to rep range. Rather than doing as many reps as you can for a minute, do 2 sets of 10 reps at a weight you find reasonably challenging. Full body routines are fine provided adequate rest time - say 3 lifting days a week, always with at least a day in between, but cardio can be continued on these rest days - is allowed for. In your example of the difference between 35 and 45 lbs, I would guess that you would have to pick a value somewhere in between the two. Remember that although 35 gives you a good burn, this "pump" is not a necessary indication that the muscle has been worked sufficiently.

Perhaps it would be prudent to try both the approach you are currently using and the one I am suggesting for several weeks at a time in order to compare the two. If yours gets results then by all means stick with that! I simply believe that this more traditional routine may be more beneficial.

Lol, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I quit posting because nothing has changed in my diet and didn't have anything else to add. I am still working out and eating the same, although most of you guys said add more calories. I've decided against that because on a normal day I usually eat low calories anyway.

I feel great and so far I've lost 9 pounds. I am averaging a very healthy -1 pound a week, which I feel good about. I still workout twice a day when I can, but I definitely get 1 a day no matter what.

I am now marinating chick breasts to get more flavor out of them, it's getting real boring, but I am sticking to the plan.

1 lb a week is good. Usually when people tell you they are losing more than 2 lbs a week they are losing water weight and maybe even muscle.

Look in the diet section and you can find some alternative ways to cook foods so things don't get so monotonous. I'll try to find some in my hard drive and post them in here.

You might want to post your workouts. Getting stronger and increasing your endurance will indirectly help with fat loss.
