The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Bench shirts

Thought it would be interesting to get feedback on the most popular bench shirts. Inzer (Rage or Phenom) vs. Titan (Fury)

Many people prefer the fury over the phenom. It's probably pretty split between the two, the only difference being that the phenom costs something like double what the fury costs.

I've got just a regular single ply Inzer Blast. Always felt like I could do more with that than the Fury...don't know why but I just do.

Fury is $85 and the Phenom is $145....I have the Fury and am very happy with it, although I have never used the Phenom so I couldn't compare the two

Are there any cons to using a bench shirt over not using one?

If you're not planning to compete, there's not much point in wearing a shirt. It's painful, you have to learn how to use it, which often means relearning how to bench, and you definitely won't be using one if you train alone.

Definately, Unless your goin to some meets you shouldn't be wearin one. Also, the first time I used mine it took 2 guys 20 minutes to help me get it on and we still couldn't get it on all the waw. You CANNOT use one without a spotter, or spotters

I have a fury and like it a lot. My shoulders have felt a lot better since i started using the shirt. I can put it on by myself but i dont think i could get it off, You need a spotter to help unrack the weight and to be there if you get out of the grove. It has loosed up some, it was hard as heck to get over my arms when i first got it.

Thats what i thoufght to, until my friend wanted his shirt on and i was busy. I went to help him and he managed to get it on. Its quiet loose and a fury so its got the stretchy back.
A shirt with a reg back is pretty much imposible to get on by yourself.
PS if you can stick the shirt on by yourself, do yourself a favour, buy a new shirt

    bench shirts

I have tried them all. The Fury is nice but the Rage is better. The Phenom is good but the fabric wears out in about 6 months of weekly use. The Rage is available in double ply so it is ideal for IPA and APF.

I plan on getting a double denim to compete with. I have a feeling that a double poly isn't going to benefit my bench much longer.

The material of the rage x has less give and also more rebound than the fury if fitted right hands down the best poly shirt out now. the sleeves of the rage x are longer also a big plus for triceps benchers.if you need help let me know with sizeing you a shirt up. phil harrington

When you speak of the fury, do you mean the old one or the new one? Because the new fury, and other titan stuff, listed with +nxg I think it's called is a newer poly material that is rediculously strong. If price is a factor, Titan stuff is much less expensive as well.

Yeah, it does, but it's relatively new. I think only a year old (not 100% sure though), so some may be basing opinions on the old material vs the new.

The Rage X is $135 and the Fury is 85 The Rage X might be slightly better but for the money ill take the Fury. I also like Titan because if you dont like the shirt they will give you your money back if you send it back less than 30 days. I just got a F6 im going to try if it suck its going back and ill get another Fury.
