    Front Squat Form

The form in which you hold the bar with your wrists kills me! My wrists feel like they are going to fall off by halfway through the set. The other way in which the bar rest on top of the delts with the cross-grip form works really well. How do you get the bar into this position on your delts though? I have been using a clean up to the position and then changing while the bar is up on my delts. It is very difficult, how do yall' do it?

approach a squat rack like the one shown here
have the loaded bar at a height that you can walk up to, extend your arms, squat slightly and lift with the bar on yo shoulders, your arms crossed to opposing shoulders, grab the bar, and your all set

I don't have a squat rack, I've been using a clean to get the barbell in place. Now what?

    join a gym?
I dont think there are any alternative if you can't put the bar at a higher level to start with.
