I am having troubles lifting heavier weights because of my hands slipping from sweat. My hands sweat more than the average person, from what I've seen with my friends.
The gym I go to specifically says do not use chaulk. Are gloves my next best option for grip, excluding the fact they make it harder to wrap your hand around the bars?
Also, I always get callouses right below my fingers on my palm area, they get painful after holding heavy weights for a certain time (DB shrugs, for example) would gloves help this, or should I just file away the callouses (even though they keep coming back) I realize callouses are common among lifters, but is there a way to slow down there growth?
