    Mike's Journal

    Hey guys this is the first day of my journal. This is more for me than anything else, but any comments are welcomed. I've made exceptional strides thus far and I used to weight over 300 pounds with a body fat over 30%, that you will see below.


    Monday 10/18

    Breakfast- 2 packets oatmeal and glass of skim milk 520 calories
    Lunch- foot long roasted chicken on wheat (with FF honey mustard and no cheese) 720 calories
    Dinner- beef tips, roasted potatoes and carrots and glass of skim milk 480 calories 1720 total

    Workout- 12 minutes bike
    Flat bench X4
    Cable fly X4
    Flat dumbbell press X4
    Incline dumbbell press X4
    40 minutes full court basketball
    cell-tech drink 150 calories TOTAL CALORIES 1870

    also heres my current stats as of 10/18/04. you will also notice the measurements are from 10/18/04, as well as 4/19/04 when i weighed 270 with a body fat of 24%.

    221 pounds
    16.2% body fat
    bench 235 X 5 (4th set)
    straight bar curl 110 X 4 (4th set)
    tricep pushdown 200 X 8 (4th set)
    shoulder press 80 X 6 (4th set)
    bent over row 185 x 8 (4th set)
    leg press 720 X 12 (4th set)

    arms- 16.5 4/19- 17.5
    chest- 45 4/19- 46
    waist- 36 4/19- 40
    calves- 17.5 4/19- 18
    quads- 25 4/19- 26.5
    forearms- 13 4/19- 14

    What I'm trying to do is cut down to 200 pounds and get my body fat down to 10-12%. I would also like to get bigger muscle wise and get more defined as well as gain strength. I have a high protein diet, and take cell-tech. Heres some pics of me currently and one from when i was over 300 pounds.

    heres me over 300 pounds and over 30% bodt fat and needless to say looking disgusting.

    I must be an idiot, but how do I have a big journal like the rest of you. Today was my first entry, but I wanna have a continous one with many pages like you guys?

    Lunch- - foot long roasted chicken on wheat (with FF honey mustard and no cheese) 720 calories 1090 total
    Dinner- tuna fish sandwich on white 300 calories TOTAL CALORIES 1390

    Workout- off day for lifting, but played 2.5 hours of football

    Good work man. Nice start to the journal. Yes, this is just like writing info in a paper journal except it is online. Great resource, especially if you start visiting and posting in others journals, they will reply in yours and give you great motivation and answer questions you ask and so forth.

    Saturday 10/23/04
    Lunch- 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches 700 calories
    Dinner- chicken fingers, fries, and a water from steak and shake 1550 calories TOTAL CALORIES 2250

    Workout- off day lifting, but played an hour and a half of basketball and lost

    Sunday- 10/24/04
    Lunch- mac and cheese 1140 calories
    Dinner- chicken sandwich and fries 950 calories
    Snack- vanilla yogurt and applesauce 210 calories TOTAL CALORIES 2300

    Workout- none

    I normally dont lift on the weekends, but the food I ate was terrible. I had a great weekend, but when your hungover you need the bad food in your stomach. Back to normal this week and a weigh in friday.

    How do you avoid snacking during the day?? All I do is snack, I can't remember the last time I had a meal........

    It's all about disipline, except when I'm drunk and go to taco bell and get 2 spicy chicken burritos and a total of 860 calories making my TOTAL CALORIES 2540
