Yep its 3 years, I remember seeing the last one thinking how Star Wars was the 1st movie I ever saw in a theatre. I was also thinking that I could sake my son who will be 2 and a half by then, so that it will be the 1st movie he sees in a theatre. I need to wait until a daytime show after a month or so of it being out though. I dont want to be that guy who's kid is screaming or running up and down the isle the whole show.

    lol.

Which is worse? A horde of Ewoks carrying C3-PO, C3-PO's lines (the entire scene in the Ewok village in ROTJ comes to mind) or Jar Jar Binks?

the magic is gone, the first movies were an experiment, a beautiful story, science fiction at its best, the newer movies are for children, and too make money, quick, or maybe they just dont manage to capture moods and tell storys like movies used to, now its all extreme effects and nobody even blinks while fighting, its too fake.

NYLine III is a last-of-its-kind, three-week sidewalk line party to celebrate the release of "Revenge of the Sith" as a fundraiser for the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation. This is your last chance to experience the pop-culture phenomenon of a line-up for a new "Star Wars" movie, and to do so at the bright center of the universe, New York City's Ziegfeld Theatre.

NYLine has secured a block of tickets for the May 19 midnight premiere of "Episode III" at the Ziegfeld, but insurance caps limit us to 350 members, and spots are filling up quickly!

Line members earn their tickets by showing up for shifts, which are weighted by difficulty. It's possible to earn a ticket in as few as 12 hours (overnight shifts on week nights), or as many as 48 hours (weekend afternoons and evenings). The time commitment is reduced for people coming from outside the tri-state area and eliminated altogether for our international members. Be sure to check our message boards for descriptions of the great activities we have planned during every shift throughout the line!

The NYLine presence in Midtown Manhattan helps raise awareness for our charity, the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation. Since 1999, NYLine has raised more than $33,000 for Starlight. While fundraising isn't required to join NYLine, we strongly urge line members to use the Stand-A-Thon pledge forms to raise money for Starlight's Fun Center Program. In 2002, NYLine placed four Fun Centers in NYC hospitals; this year, we're hoping to shatter that record!

If you're in it for the reward, you'll be happy to know that each dollar you raise counts toward the point total that determines your place in line and your seat in the theater. Members raising more than $60 will receive an exclusive limited-edition shirt featuring our mascot, the Liberty Jedi, and if that isn't enough, the top fundraisers will also get other special prizes!

To be a part of all this, join NYLine III today...It is your destiny.

    Hardcore Star Wars
