+ How do you make your Ass Bigger ? + (aside from ddoin squats reasons why inside)

Ok so i hate doin squats it does a number on my shoulder
im a newbie so i dont have big thick neck n shoulders to
really put the barbell there. plus im paranoid that it will stunt my growth?

wont it do something to the spine i mean all that weight..even if you are in correct positioning.

is there something else i can do? ive heard lunges what exactly is thaT?
    any other effective exercises?

im asking because i have a fairly nice ass but i want it to stick out more, and to be bigger so that i look betterin my jeans and stuff when im doing photoshoots.

    thanks.

Heavy lifting might stunt your growth, but for the most part it's genetics, no way to tell. How old are you?

You might want to try squats against a wall or in some other variation, or just learn correct form so your shoulder isn't bothered by it. To work you glutes besides squats, do weighted lunges, and if you have access to a gym, add leg press to your leg workout. If you can't get into a gym, an alternative, which will probably not get many fans on this site, but is effective noetheless, is weighting your body with a hiking backpack preferably (with a waist strap for the safety of weight sitting on your hips, not your back), and do step-ups, walk up and down actual stairs, or even just walk around for an hour at least 3 times a week.

Don't have the bar on your neck while squatting.
Carry the bar on top of your rear delts. Its much easier once you find the spot.
And it will not stunt your growth or injure anything with 'all that heavy weight' as long as you carry the bar where i said.

A good tip for squatting is to look up at a high spot on the wall, or even the ceiling. This keeps your head up and helps keep your back straight.

If you're just starting out you probably won't be lifting that much of a heavy weight anyway....

yea i guarantee you that by teh time your done growing...depending on how old you are right now.....squats with the weight you will be using will do nothing to stunt your growth at all....guaranteed. yea and you want to rest the weight on your traps, not your neck....ive gotten so used to it i dont even feel the weight on there anymore even thoug hafterwards i have a big bruise....but yea at first it hurts some and is awkward....but thats how it was for everyone....after a few weeks trust me youll get used to it fast....and yes for your ass lunges is the best thing next to squats.....but i would highly reccomend squats probably above any other excersize you do

not having a squatting routine when I was 15-20 is one of my biggest regrets.
I HIGHLY recommend you add it to your routine if you have any interest in sports.

squatting will not stunt your growth

it is still one of the best ways to build your ass but other alternatives include

    lunges: standing, walking, reverse

    step ups

bulgarian squats(one leg squats) get some dumbells and put one leg behind you on some type of stand preferably a bench or a pin in a power rack and the other foot out in front of you and squat with the leg in front

Deadlift: conventional, sumo, romanian, straight leg

    hyper extensions

    reverse hyper extensions

    glute ham raises

al these work the glutes alot

    Squats
    deadlifts
    leg press

In that order. Squatting will not stunt your growth. Position the bar as others have suggested here.
*edit* BigCorey, you covered that in better detail..,,

if you are worried about stunting growth in the neck(which it shouldnt)
then do front squats. you put the bar on the front of your delts in the coushony spot(i cant spell.)

Thanks corey i think i will try the

    *lunges
    and reverse hyper extensions

i currently already do the hyper extensions and leg presses also i do the hip abduction machines, etc.

how exactly do you do lunges and reverse hyper extensions by the way?

also anybody have more tips on how to do squats correctly ?
    here is what ive gathered
1.) position the bar on your delts
2.) look toward a high spot on the wall or ceiling to keep back straight

    thanks guys!

No, position the bar on your traps. I find this groove inbetween my traps, and it's very comfortable even at weights like 210 (which is very heavy for me). Just keep moving the bar around until you find the right place.

IMO, leg presses do not even come close to yielding the same results as a squat. Not nearly as many muscles come into play on a leg press.

Let your arms hang down at your sides and you squat as if you are going to sit on the bar. It remains BEHIND your thighs. Done properly, there is little difference in stress on your back, though I think it's maybe a bit easier to do improperly and reduce back stress. It's advantage is it doesn't rest the bar on the collarbone or traps, so there's less risk of getting a bruise from it.

If I were looking to target the glutes, the first place I'd go (besides squats) is step-ups. Really, really steep step ups. As high as I could go without putting myself in danger.
