The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Weakness in Arms/Shoulders when doing Chest

OK guys...I have been STRUGGLING to get a big chest...I have been lifting heavy...but nothing....My chest does not do anything...I don't even feel sore after doing chest.

I usually rotate my routine weekly...for example

    1 week - upper chest
    2 week - middle chest
    3 week - lower chest

I do the various types of chest exercises (bench, incline, decline, flies). When I do the exercises, it's a STRUGGLE to lift the weight off of me. I seem to be stuck in a rut, not able to increase. For example, when I do bench or incline barbell, my arms give out...which is preventing me from doing a set of 12, 10, 8, 6...I try to adjust and make sure I have the right form...but for some reason, my arms give out and my shoulders are sore...

So can anyone relate to this? if so, what did u do to fix it? and what exercises do you all recommend to add MASSIVE size to all levels of the chest (mainly upper) for a hardgainer?

    Thank you. and HELPPPPPPP

sounds like u need to spend some time on your arms.

skull crushers and close grip bench press are great for tri's.
i could recommend blasting those 2 times a week for a month or so to kick some ass to em.

preacher curls are great for bi's.

for shoulders i do seated barbell front press. then move to seated dumbells. iv got stretch marks appearing on my shoulders so i must be doing good i also like to finish that with front and side raises.

make sure your eating enough. i slacked a couple weeks on eating and i couldnt make gains if my lift depending on it. if u arnt already try eating 3000cals a day and see how that goes.

my chest consits of flat bench, slight incline bench with dumbells and i love to finish off with dumbell flies. those always kill me.

if u aint eating enough your never gonna make gains to be big. what others say on here. eat big to get big.. i think i helped u out lol.

    Thank you Bling...

the thing is...I have big arms...my arms are my best bodypart...my forearms...could use help...but would this be the key that is screwing me up and prematurely preventing me from finishing some of my exercises?

Well I've been following Muscle and Fitness's 101 Workouts...

They have several chest workouts for different areas of the chest...

    but bottom line, for example...

    My BB Bench

    110x12
    130x10
    150x8
    170x6

of course, 12 is fine..10 is slightly a struggle...8 is a bit too much...and by 6 I am seriously needing help from my spotter...sometimes I don't even finish the reps....my arms get so weak that I give up...and I HATE THAT!
