The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    LOL @ "Fagnet"
Out of the night that covers me,Black as the Pit from pole to pole,I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul. In The fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance my head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears looms but the horror of the shade And yet the menace of the years finds, and shall find, me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate how charged with punishments the scroll,I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.

    3. Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such. If you are going to make a new thread, or reply to a thread please make sure it’s worthwhile and constructive. Examples of non constructive posts include simply posting “I agree” and posting the “I’m with stupid” smiley. This also includes posting only a link as a new thread. If you want to discuss something that is published on another website (a news story or some sort) then please ensure you make an effort to provide a starting point of conversation.

Geez Callahan.. at least it was a funny link.

And I see people doing this in other parts of the forum all the time, "Examples of non constructive posts include simply posting “I agree” and posting the “I’m with stupid” smiley." yet nobody seems to mind.

It's a chuckle and a half for sure, but it draws its humor from appealing to the lowest common denominator. It's debasing.
Homer Simpson - "The code of the schoolyard, Marge! The rules that teach a boy to be a man. Let's see. Don't tattle. Always make fun of those different from you. Never say anything, unless you're sure everyone feels exactly the same way you do."

I agree with that 100%. I see it in every aspect of the boards. Yet I hear noone else complaining. It should be equal for everyone.

    1) There are a finite number of mods with a finite amount of time.
    2) We are not perfect.
    3) Our 'enforcement' of the rules is erratic at best due to 1) and 2) and other factors.

That said, this was in no way an official warning, merely a reminder to thread participants to try and clean things up a bit and remember the rules.

Generally speaking, I often delete stupid and pointless 'i agree' posts. But I'm just one guy with a finite amount of time.

So it IS equal for everyone. The rules are the rules. The enforcement is just spotty. SO like, police yourselves so we don't have to or something, eh?

Seriously though. Putting it like that I can understand what you're saying Callahan. This forum is actually one of the better ones I've been to as far as that sort of thing goes.
