The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

the live 4ever theory by me

ppl die to usually organ failure correct?
now if the world has enough technoloy to be able to transplant any organ into someones body and have most the transplants succeed couldnt someone literally live 4ever?
u would think a 60yo man with 10yo body parts ie. heart, lungs, liver etc minus the brain would live like 60 more years to his life. so then techically u would live until the brain itself shuts down. and your joints can eventually all become fake so no worn about joints to worry about there

now what about just your head living in a glass? your spinal cord can be in some kinda fluid and a machine pumpin blood through you with ivy's giving you fluid and the nutrients u would need to survive as if you were a reg human..

am i losing my mind of does living 4ever seem kinda possible?

Of course living forever seems possible.

I predict they figure out the method the day after you die.

The brain will start to "loose it" how many old people in perfect health are in a nursing home because of mental problems.... A lot.
My grandmother recently went into a home, and when she did the doctors said that with her heart she could live to be 100, but her mind is severly lacking.

I think you'd have a MUCH better shot of transplanting a brain from a dying body into a farmed body.

Maybe one day procreation will be strictly to create a host body for ourselves.

your skin would fall apart, your cells die, and new cells spawn out, copying the last cells, and each time, they copy, the copy is a little worse, and then it goes on and then you die.

'Brain' in a dish flies flight simulator
    Thursday, November 4, 2004 Posted: 1251 GMT (2051 HKT)

(CNN) -- A Florida scientist has developed a "brain" in a glass dish that is capable of flying a virtual fighter plane and could enhance medical understanding of neural disorders such as epilepsy.

    ...
The "living computer" was grown from 25,000 neurons extracted from a rat's brain and arranged over a grid of 60 electrodes in a Petri dish.

The brain cells then started to reconnect themselves, forming microscopic interconnections, said Thomas DeMarse, professor of biomedical engineering at the University of Florida.
    ...
When linked up to an F-22 jet flight simulator, the brain and the simulator established a two-way connection similar to how neurons receive and interpret signals from each other to control our bodies.

Gradually the brain learnt to control the flight of the plane based on the information it received about flight conditions.

There's limits to what can be done surgically.

Until we can actually control and regulate the reproductive and cell-repair mechanisms at a molecular level, not to mention find a way to maintain genetic integrity over the multiple generations of cellular reproduction, it's not happening.

As our cells reproduce, there's molecular switches called telomeres that work to regulate how many times a cell can divide. Once it hits that limit, the cell dies. This may sound bad, but it prevents cells from becoming cancerous.

There's another problem on top of that...as cell senescence occurs (the gradual accrual of genetic errors during mitosis), the viability of each subsequent generation degrades, and the body's DNA repair mechanism is only so good. This is a place where stem cell research and therapy would be immensely useful.

Now if we can find a way to circumvent these issues-- which is not impossible but you're looking at 50-100 years minimum-- then you'll be in business.
