ON EDIT: I should point out that I'm *not* picking on you personally, muscle chic. I've done a lot of reading about various diets and come to the conclusion that low-carb dieting is not essentially harmful if done properly, so if someone claims otherwise, I will call them on it.

No "little boy" not commercial sites. I can see your very mind set when you should really be giving out good information. Meaning let him see both sides the good and bad before starting a "diet" like this.
Carbs are the least important of the 3 macronutrients. If you can live without one, it's them. That doesn't necessarily mean you should, but you can.

I don't think either of us are arguing for no carbs, but low carbs while strategically placing them (either via refeeds or centered around workouts) are good enough. However, we're talking more about dieting than bulking. When you're allowed to consume more overall calories, adding carbs into the mix is fine. When you are restricting calories, you first need your protein, and then your EFA's. Whether or not there is room for carbs after that depends on how severe your calorie restriction is.Originally Posted by muscle chic
