The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

My personal best so far is bodyweight + 45 lbs for 6 reps. Haven't tried my 1RM because I'd rather keep my sternum from caving in.

In the competition section there was something that made me wow with dipping... I think "HomeYield" managed to dip his own bodyweight!!!!!! (i mean over his own bodyweight already)

I can dip 66lbs * 6, which is not much to scream about

Back when I was still weak I was doing BW + 70lbs for 7 reps. Then I stopped doing Dips and subsituted decline bench. Well, now I am going back to dips. I expect to be doing 100lbs + BW after a few weeks, but we will see. Will be a good challenge for me.

    Yesterday I did bodyweight(212) + 60 * 5 clean
I did another set at 75, but I didn't really go all the way down on any of the reps, so IMO, it doesn't really count.

    BW + 25 pounds x 10 reps.
I weigh 155, am 51 years young (ha).

Love weighted dips. I'm almost the only
one in my gym who does them.

How much are you benching with that much tricep? I weigh about the same as you, but only bang out 10-12 (though I usually finish up my workout with dips).
