I was thinking of working out for 1 week and then taking 1 week off. Just thought that I try experimenting with this routine. What are your opinions on this?

Probably not a good idea at your level (I am assuming you are not close to your genetic potential).

I think where Chris is leading is as you become closer to your genetic potential you will find you will make the best results at very low volume training and more rest....

I remember reading some of Ian Ducketts books and he said he used to train biceps for 4-6 sets....

As he became stronger and was reaching his genetic potential he said he would get make best gains at training with 1 set......

Something to think about, I am sure Chris will explain it better..

As for the idea of one on one off, I think it is not a good idea... IMO it would be hard to measure progress and perhaps would be too much resting time..

If you really wanted to try using alot of rest just make it in between your lifting days. Like instead of going to the gym 4 times one week then off for a week just go ever 4th day or something like that.
