So i've heard that sweet potatoes are better carbs than regular potatoes, so I had one tonight and DAMN, i loved it! Something about it, I dunno.
Are sweet potatoes much better than regular potatoes, and is this something I can have all the time, or should I not make a habit of it?
(I'm trying to gain weight, by the way, but obviously I still want to limit my bad carbs.....)
sweet potatoes are good for you, more nutrients and lower gi then regular white potatoes, eat up.

I prefer a baked sweet potatoe with some butter of a regular white potatoe now. And I used to hate them.

I love sweet potatoes. Put some I cant Believe its not butter and a sprinkle of splenda in it. *drool*
Sweet potatoes are good but I also like yams.
What is that in your avatar, is that Barrett? FF7 PWNS everything if it is.
Looks like Barrett to me.
I prefer yams as well. They're a staple in my current cutting diet. They're the sweetest thing I allow myself to eat.
And if baked correctly, they provide all the necessary moisture in a sandwich so you don't have to use mayo.
I usually bake 4-6 sweet potatoes or yams at once on sunday night. They keep for a while in the fridge.
Sweet potatoes are ace imho
rnt yams and sweet potatoes the same thing?
They're related...a little different somehow (not sure how)
poke holes in it, wrap it in a paper towel and microwave for 3-5 minutes

The nutrition I think is about the same though I've never directly compared the two. As for taste- I rarely eat sweet potatoes but often eat garnet yams so as to the taste question you'll have to answer that yourself with a side by side pepsi challenge.
